DivasDare Posted March 4, 2012 #51 Share Posted March 4, 2012 Very good combination! I like both and the shoe looks like you can wear with other colors as well, periwinkle, slate, ivory. Perfect addition. eta, I didn't see your comment about your legs, but I understand. My sister has vericose veins and she has to wear support hose for compression.
Lois R Posted March 4, 2012 #52 Share Posted March 4, 2012 Lois, Clark's are about the most comfortable shoes out there! Hi:) yes, I know:D I know high heels have been in style since the beginning of time but I am the group who doesn't buy them. Of course, the shoe industry doesn't care if I do or don't because they have such a large cleintle;)

DivasDare Posted March 4, 2012 #56 Share Posted March 4, 2012 I LOVE shoes and I have to limit myself on how many I bring on the cruise. I also tend to love platform heels, NOT the best choice for sight seeing and walking around a cruise ship. So I have to find comfortable CUTE shoes to wear sight seeing and then during the day on the cruise. For the evening shoes trying to take 1 -2 pair only and coordinate my outfits to those. I did find one cute tennis shoe (but its really flat) so not sure how comfortable it will be for sightseeing. My Plan is to wear these tennis shoes, then pack 2-sandals and 2 evening shoes. My son will pack 1 pair of black dress shoes, wear his tennis shoes, then pack 1-2 pair of flip flops, well he might need a pair of causal shoes to wear to dinner. Only planning to dress up for dinner 1-2 nights, the other nights will be casual wear to dinner.= Sundress for me, nice shirt & shorts for son. Don't you just love planning for vacation! I find it is the only thing keeping me sane on some of my challenging days at work. :D Even if its digging in the closet, or a little retail therapy, it's great! Or and Lois, I beg to differ, there are some "hawt" and "sexy" flats out there. As long as the shoe is built for comfort along with any appeal that it has to you... hey! Oh, I am not looking for heels...I have some dressy flats....black patent leather peep toes work fine for me.:)...they do have about a 1 inch...maybe 1-1/4 heel and are very, very comfy and quite pretty too.:) Jumpsuit? We must be in a different peer group;) I have not worn one of the those in years and years......

Kilnwood Posted March 5, 2012 #60 Share Posted March 5, 2012 I'm learning a lot from all your posts, and you've also come up with some great suggestions that will work for me! From my personal experience in the last three or four years, I've found most of my "best" shoes (flats or low-heeled pumps) on ebay!! HAPPY CRUISING!!!
DivasDare Posted March 5, 2012 #61 Share Posted March 5, 2012 Kilnwood I'm currently looking for a cute (and sexy ;)) animal print flat on eBay, and have gotten some cute things there too.
centralcalicruzer Posted March 5, 2012 #62 Share Posted March 5, 2012 I just got a pair of new Clark's sandals yesterday:) They are theIndigo Brand and I love them....best of all, they were free:D http://www.clarksusa.com/eng/product/tres_belle/61223 I am thinking the gals who wear the super high heels would not like the picture...but maybe there are some of you who would;) Well, I am one of those who wear super high heels, but I think those are really cute, I especially love them in orange! I would wear them with shorts or a long flowy skirt. I'm only 5'2", and although I'm pretty tiny I'm a runner and have big calves, so wearing flats with regular length dresses just makes me look thick and dumpy. I do vary it up though with different heel height, wedges, etc. and only wear the super high (4-5") ones a few nights during a cruise or once a week/every two weeks at home. BBM DivasDare, I'm not indulging in a "pity party," but when one wears a size 10AAA, finding "cute" shoes at an affordable price wasn't easy until I discovered shoes on ebay four years ago! Now it's no longer such a challenge--and it's fun!!

kellane Posted March 7, 2012 #66 Share Posted March 7, 2012 I'm not really a shoe girl. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of nude colored high heel shoes so I only have to pack one pair of dress shoes. My mom said, "Can't you just act like my daughter for once and take at least two pair?!" :D
4evercruzin Posted March 8, 2012 #67 Share Posted March 8, 2012 I wish I could wear those cute high heals! I have problems with my feet and need suggestions for a dress black comfort shoe with a low heal if there is such a thing. Lois R, I love the Clark sandal, but need something a little dressier. Any ideas? Barb

Any ideas? Barb I'm a high heel girl (like 4-4.5" heels), but Onex shoes are sooo comfortable. I needed something in Vegas; after 5 days out there in a convention center I was not going to shove my feet in the shoes I planned to wear that night. I ran into a store there, and when I put the Onex shoes on, I thought I was walking on a cloud. They have flats and low heels. Check them out on Zappos.
smplytrcy Posted March 9, 2012 #69 Share Posted March 9, 2012 We leave for a 9 day cruise in a little under a week....still on the fence with how many shoes to bring. I'm something of a shoe freak and can't help myself when I see a cute pair at a great price....decisions, decisions. So far I have picked 2 flip flops, 3 sandals, 3 heels, walkers, and running shoes...that is if I can sneak them all into the luggage:)

They have so many shoes it is hard to pick;) I do have a few pairs of a brand called "Italian Shoemakers" and in my opinion they can definitely dress up an outfit. The heels are all (those ones I own) about 2 inches....maybe a little less and are sort of wedge style heel so easy on the foot.
CessKinKoS Posted March 9, 2012 #71 Share Posted March 9, 2012 :eek:wow what an interesting thread! i love shoes too, but super picky about them. in the past i've packed light, when it came to shoes. i've been able to get away w packing a pair of heels (for formal nights), some comfy walking shoes (for port days) and at least 2 pair of flip flops for the ship and beach. now you guys really have me thinking about bringing shoes on my next cruise, Allure in June! these are my fave shoes to go out in, theyre so cute, and pretty comfortable, for a 4" platform wedge heel. if i bring these, theyre going to take up so much space in luggage, but i'm not sure if i'm ready to walk the airports and port on first and last days. i've heard ppl rave about yellow box sandals, and really thinking about buying a pair in time for the cruise, if i can find a pair that isnt so gaudy... funkycoolmasina Posted March 9, 2012 #72 Share Posted March 9, 2012 I'm bringing about three pairs of dressy pumps (two pictured below) and like 3 or four pairs of sandals and I still haven't purchased comfortable walking shoes. Maybe I'll just stick with flip flops for when my feet start to hurt. lol 'Cuz I know they will.
