eddmel Posted February 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2012 We would appreciate some clarity about in-suite dining in PH category on the Riveria. Is it course by course? From any of the restaurants including specalty? Any limit on the number of nights for in-suite dining? Thank you.
rjrcm Posted February 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2012 We had a PH on our Marina cruise, but did not do in-suite dining. However, it is advertised as course by course from any of the restaurants. No limit. Riveria should be the same.

In a Suite, one may order in from any of the restaurants without any limit; but if you want the meal served course by course you will need to have that conversation with your Butler. Most people now prefer that the first course be served, while subsequent ones are placed, under cloche, on a side table or buffet, so that the meal may be eaten more privately. Mura Posted February 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2012 Thanks for clearing that up, Jim&Stan. On Marina last October our butler brought in the first and second courses together. Then we ordered dessert later. I'd read that the courses would be served individually, but never thought to speak to our butler about it. In fact, bringing those two courses in at the same time was fine in a Vista. In a PH on Regatta (our next cruise), maybe not! But now I know to discuss this with our butler. In fact, I've been wondering about but burden on the butler of having to bring in courses separately. It's not like they only have 2-3 cabins to support! If a large number of their cabins decide to dine in the suite, they could be running to and fro without a stop. Mura
JimandStan Posted February 28, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2012 It's not like they only have 2-3 cabins to support! True, but the butlers cover for each other, and when demand is high they use runners to bring the trays to the cabin door, with the butler only doing the serving. Jancruz Posted February 28, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2012 Stu and I like long leisurely dinners in our suite so we like it course by course..we have never had a problem getting it that way..the butlers are so easy to deal with..
