What is included in the Celebrity Captain's Club discount booklet found in the rooms? Any spa services discounts?

Yes, and the amount varies depending on your status.

 

The port prices tend to be better than the coupon discount, though.

Were those on top of the normal Elite benefits? Some of those seem to be ones that would be included in elite without that booklet.

 

I wonder if they have updated them in the last year or so.

 

Is there normally any discounts to the Specialty Restaurants? Maybe a cheaper internet package? Just curious if they have changed in a year.

No specialty restaurant perk for Elites; I really wish they would make this a perk though!

 

For internet Elites receive 90 minutes per/person of free internet. To activate this you bring your coupon to the computer lounge and purchase the 90 minute package; then they credit your coupon for the amount of the charge and the credit posts within a day or two. On some sailings you can receive bonus additional minutes if you activate this on the first day of the cruise.

I wonder if Celebrity really tracks the use of these coupons. There's space on the back to write your name & room number. For example, I have coupons from a prior cruise that I have not used and might want to use on a future cruise, i.e. the 2 items of free pressing, the drycleaning one, and all the casino ones???

 

Of course, they could find out, but do they really look?

It was permitted on Millennium last month (first hand knowledge).

I was looking back through that list, and there are some nice ones - the 90 min internet, the various cleaning ones, the casino ones if you gamble and if you are lucky to get that extra money.

 

But all in all there is a lot that isn't that great. The spa ones are in port only. The wine ones - if you have the premium drink package . . . it doesn't do a ton since you have your drinks covered anyways.

 

I would think they could add a buy one get one free or 50% off dinner.

 

I don't remember, but don't they normally have one night like that anyways like middle of the week? I think that happened for us . . ..

It varies by ship and whoever is running the internet on that ship on your cruise. It is consistently inconsistent.

Last month sailing on the Connie, they did not allow the CC coupon to be combined with the extra bonus minutes offered on Day 1.

That's all well and good if the people running the Internet lounge are at their stations. We found that they kept limited hours on Infinity. It was not convenient to have to get my internet started on their time schedule.

It hasn't changed much, or at all, from those discussed above or the link I provided in my post above. The more valuable coupons are those which reflect some of the Captain's Club Elite Level benefits described on Celebrity's web site such as 90 min free internet time and laundry coupons.

 

These are distributed as a sheet of coupons and each elite guest gets one. If you and a traveling companion are both elite then you will get two sets for the cabin.
