Enchantment Dry Dock dates?

Recommended Posts

From what I have read in the past few months, they are redoing all the bathrooms so that they all have the 'Star-Trek' showers instead of the creeping-curtain. Most likely carpets, lighting, public areas...

On the drastic end of the conversation was to get rid of a set of hot-tubs on the pool deck so that everyone could see the new M.U.T.S screen.

On our last cruise we were told the following. Note that it was passed along at least twice before it reached us so the information may have been distorted (yay for playing whisper down the lane).

- A new specialty restaurant, supposedly Italian. No word if this is Portofino's or Giovanni's Table.

- Replace the solarium snack bar with Vitality Cafe.

- Remove one of the out door pools and replace it with a movie screen.

- New showers.

- Flatscreen TVs in every cabin. Ipads in every cabin.

- Wifi throughout the ship.

- Flatten the Centrum on Deck 4: take out the stairs and platforms to turn it into a more open and accessible area.

At the Captain's Corner, we were told they were working the punch list, but the big things like the restaurants and redoing the champagne bar into the R bar are definitely happening. The other items, such as updating, renovating, adding flat screens aren't set in stone. They do get a kick out of people asking so many questions about tv's. I agree with that, because there's not much on them and other than people who are quarantined or sitting with napping children, how much time do you really spend watching tv on a cruise? Anyway, we will know more when it's posted on RCI webpage. They (hotel director) said we'll know when they know because they find out at the same time it's posted for the public.

As posted today by Cruise Critic...

"The Makeover:The 15-year-old Rhapsody, one of six "mid-size," 1,998-passenger Vision-class ships, will gain a number of features found on Oasis and Allure of the Seas. New dining venues include Izumi (Asian), Giovanni's Table (Italian) and the Park Cafe, a bistro concept borrowed from Oasis and Allure -- minus the park setting found on those ships.

There are some non-Oasis twists, too. The massive hanging sculpture will be removed from Rhapsody's 60-foot-high, seven-deck Centrum to make way for cirque du Soleil-style aerial performances, and the Centrum's Champagne Bar will become the 60's-style R Bar, complete with iconic furnishings and signature cocktails. Royal is also adding a pair of lounges for its top past passengers and those staying in suites (one lounge for "Diamonds," one for "Diamond Plus" and suite pax). On a more controversial note, an outdoor movie screen will be installed near the ship's main pool. Finally, look for the integration of a slew of new technology-based amenities, including digital signage and iPads in every cabin.

Sister ships Grandeur of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas will undergo similar surgery in May and December, respectively."

:D
