sp14 Posted March 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2012 Hello all We have booked the carnival magic. We were looking forward to our kids enjoying the waterpark. We were told that our toddler who is not potty trained would be able to use this area (with a swim diaper of course) Can anyone confirm this? I have been reading different information. Thank you! 6rugrats Posted March 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2012 Are you asking about the splash zone? No swim diapers allowed; must be fully potty trained. From Carnival's web site.... Using the Pool / Spray Park / WaterWorks Due to United States Public Health (USPH) Regulations, we do not allow children in diapers, in swimming diapers or those not toilet-trained in the pools/WaterWorks/spray parks. The pools are not designed for diving. Use of the pool by guests under 13 without adult supervision is prohibited.
cb at sea Posted March 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2012 Swim diapers, while holding in any solids, do allow the pool water to "filter" through them, sending bacteria into the pool. Ship pools are small, and don't have the filtration that community pools have. If you want, bring a blow-up "duck tub"...many folks will do this so their little ones can splash. Fill with an ice bucket and empty into a floor drain or shower drain....not into the pool or on the deck!
DALSAL Posted March 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2012 We brought a small blow up pool to put on our balcony and filled with the ice bucket and then same way poured it into our shower..little ones don't need much water to keep them happy. Others also used this out by the pool, but we never did..

We didn't. Just dumped it out. Used a beer bucket from the bar to fill it. OP - we found a simple, blow up pool (not the giant duck head) in Wal-mart in January. I'm sure shopping around a little will turn one up! GL! Our son loved it at 1 and 2 years and our niece even had a blast playing in it at 3 years old! kitty9 Posted March 27, 2012 #11 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Costco had them last week. Probably because it was in the 80's for 10 days here in Pa.
