Deposits

we have put a deposit through our local TA for a Cunard cruise. We now find this date is not suitable and want to change. Our TA says the deposit has gone to Cunard . The cruise we now want with Cunard is much cheaper with another agent but it seems we cannot transfer this deposit to the other agent Anyone else had problems like this?

Generally, if you wish to transfer a booking, the cruise line will provide a form you fill out and sign. The TA usually can't deny your transfer- it is your cruise after all.

But the TA can charge a cancellation fee.

In the UK they lose the deposit if they cancel usually

 

I would see if your TA could work with Cunard in moving your booking to another date or try to change your plans & take the cruise
