Sorry, that should read "before" and not "after". I was so excited that my grammar was clearly affected!!!!!!

Now all you have to do is convince him to bring his "formal" kilt to wear on one of the formal nights. And of course we all know what a true Scotsman wears under his kilt. ;)

Is there no Alchemy Bar & EA Sports Bar on the Breeze?

From what I understand niether are on The Breeze

That is correct...the blueprints were already designed and could not be changed, so neither of those two areas were incorporated into the design. With the success of the Alchemy Bar on the Liberty, it would have been a great addition to the Breeze and a nice place to enjoy your 15 drinks as part of the Cheers package.

Yes...I would have really liked the Alchemy! But there are many great places to hang out on the Breeze and I found that bartenders were up for making special concoctions.....One bartender I had on Lido fixed me something "special" each day based on what I told him I liked.

As far as the Sports Bar....I really did miss that on our cruise! I think "missing" this is largely based on when you sail. The Casino Bar on the Breeze is used as a pseudo-sports bar....there are TV screens all above the bar and they show the sporting event/s of choice. The problem with this is that during a huge sporting event it causes it to be VEEEEERRRRRYYYY crowded around that small bar area!

The week I sailed there were several NFL Playoff games as well as BCS Championships.....Some of the games were also shown on the Lido Deck Big Screen BUT I can tell you it was crazy packed in that Casino Bar at night as people watched before and after dinner.

Sorry, I don't have time to search through this entire thread for this. On the Breeze Southern itinerary (Aruba, Curacao, Grand Turk and La Romana), does the ship stay on Eastern time for the whole cruise like most other cruises I've been on. I'm trying to plan some non Carnival excursions and need to be sure on the times. It looks to me that all of these islands are on Atlantic Standard Time. So does that mean that in February all the islands will be 1 hour ahead if the ship stays on Eastern Time? Thanks.

Amen, amen! We used Luggage Express in Tampa and it is painless! The best value for the money spent, hands down!

I am NOT looking forward to having to deal with luggage while waiting for my late afternoon flight. :(

John Heald confirmed for me that the Breeze has FINALLY started to use Luggage Express!!! YAY!

Hey there we are looking at the same cruise your on. Is they any spots still open on that sailing. Not for sure if we are going to go just yet but I hope. Will know more in the next week or so about work. Thanks

If you're still interested in going on the August 31st sailing, prices have dropped again to less than $650 for an IS, $850 for an OCV, and $1,049 for a balcony over the past few days, and thats the price as of this morning.

Happy Sailing, and hope you join us aboard!!!!:)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello fellow Breezers! We are booked in October on the Breeze and our balcony 8D room numbers are 8301, 8305 and 8309.

My question is, there appears to be a round area that sticks our a bit below us and I don't know what it is. I suspect it is a hot tub area but I am hoping someone who has sailed in one of these rooms can verify that. And if so, is it lit. When we booked this cruise she wasn't even sailing yet so we were kind of choosing rooms blindly. I love the water view and am just hoping that this isn't annoying below us.

Thanks so much!

Yes, your assumption is correct. It is a hot tub that juts out a bit, but it is 3 decks below you on deck 5, the Promenade deck. The only things that could annoy you about the balcony is the noise you may hear from the hot tub or the privacy you give up from hot tub occupants gazing upwards.

It just so happens that the gentleman who fell to his death on the Carnival Magic earlier this month had a balcony on deck 8 and was stupid enough to be sitting on his railing. He accidentally fell backwards, dropped 30 feet to deck 5 and died.

There should only be cabins on deck 7 below you - you may be referring to the hot tub that juts out a bit on deck 5 which is 3 decks below you - in fact all of deck 5 'juts' out a bit - so your view to the water out is okay - but if you look directly down you will see deck 5 - but I don't think this is a big deal! :D:D

We are sailing a B2B on Breeze in Feb. Have an aft balcony next to the wrap (room 8468). I have seen a few posts but never any pictures of this cabin. My understanding is the 2 aft balconies next to the wraps are larger but I am wondering is the room larger. Would love to see some pics if anyone out there has any!!!!!

Thanks to those that posted a reply, you made me feel better about our decision.

We've made up our mind and have decided on the Breeze! Only problem is which cabin?!

It's a choice between the 4C and 7C. The difference in price is $500. I'm heading towards the 4C and using the saving towards the Cheers Programme. My other half is heading towards the 7C but no Cheers Programme.

From previous cruises we spent so little time in our cabin so didn't make much use of the balcony. Plus I'm not too keen on the Cove as I don't think I'll like being so close to the sea!

Can all you CC's help us make a decision! :o:confused::p

Also is the FTTF pass $50 per person or per cabin?

Personally I would choose the balcony over cheers any day. Our first 6 or 7 cruises were in inside cabins, really couldn't afford a balcony and had the same thought as others about not being in the cabin to use it enough. Now after sailing in balcony cabins (including the cove on the Dream & Breeze) I really think it depends on what interests you on vacation.

If you and your family will spend most of your time at the pool and exploring the ship then no, it wouldn't be worth it. But if you like a private place to relax where you never have to worry about chair hogs then a balcony would be worth every penny! Loved quiet slow paced breakfasts watching the sunrise, relaxing with a magazine out on the balcony during the day, front row to gorgeous sunsets before dinner and at night it's so peaceful, even when the water is rough...nothing like having that sea mist in your face! Lol, seriously it sounds crazy but I love love love balconies.

I completely agree with this line of thinking. I have gladly waited as long as 30 minutes in the Mongolian Wok line.

I agree. Our longest wait on the Breeze was at the Wok & the C side BBQ, about 20 mins each, we wanted to try it so it wasn't a problem for us. With all those passengers on board it is inevitable that there will be lines at some point, if the line looks longer than you are willing to wait there are plenty of other options. ;)
