Has anyone done a BTB on Oasis? Do they make you remove your things from the cabin if you are keeping the same cabin?

Anyway, just want to know what to expect.

No..you do not remove your belongings. (thank goodness).

Oasis is such a great ship...you are going to have an amazing time:o

You will not remove your belongings if staying in the same cabin. You will however be escorted ashore at some point, to zero out the ship and to clear customs then issued a new cruise card and allowed to re-board the ship.

If you're in the same cabin for both legs, no moving is needed. You will have to get off the ship and re-board, but it's quick and easy. You will be back onboard before any new passengers are allowed to begin boarding.

If you need to change cabins, you will pack up your loose stuff, and in most cases, the cabin attendant will move your things...hanging items, and suitcases into your new space. It's much easier if you can keep the same cabin for both legs!

We book far enough in advance that we get the same cabin for both segments.

On back-to-back cruises you will have to get off the ship in Ft Lauderdale to go through Immigration (not to clear customs). You will get a letter near the end of the first cruise explaining what to do on Intransit day -- where to meet and what time you will be escorted off the ship.

Sometimes we have been fortunate to be able to get back onto the ship within 15 minutes. Sometimes we have had to 1 1/2 hours. The ship must be down to "zero" count before anyone get back on.
