First Cruise as Platinum C & A !

Recommended Posts

As we are about to take our first cruise as 'Platinum' C & A - I was wondering what we get different or over & above 'Gold' ?

Are the booklets different ?

What will our Teen Son get in his Platinum book ?

Thank you for all replies !

You should get priority check-in and a special departure lounge. In addition to the regular repeaters party, there is one for platinum and above. Not sure if the kids' coupon books vary by level.

In addition to the priority embarkation/disembarkation lounge and the platinum & above party, your coupon books will be better. There are a few threads on here that have the link to what is included in each book by level.

And, of course, all your stuff will say "Platinum" on it (sea pass card, luggage tags, set sail pass).

I only did one cruise as Platinum before we jumped to Emerald, so I can't offer too much, but the coupon book is slightly better. For boarding status, Emerald and Platinum are lumped together, but Emerald gets a slightly better coupon book.

Platinum gives you an extra Spin to Win in the casino and extra match play coupons. Still, you really have to wait until Diamond to start getter the elite frequent passenger treatment.

It was fun climbing the C&A ladder!

I was so happy to reach Platnum and receive the robes and upgraded shampoos. At Platnum you'll have two free cocktail parties now!

RCI's loyalty program is great and rewarding. Have fun getting to D+!

If you are staying in a balcony or suite cabin, make sure you call C&A (or have your TA call, if you used one) and get your platinum balcony discount applied.

Sometimes the robes aren't in the room...we've had to ask for them on about half the cruises we've taken since becoming platinum.
