Princess cruise 4/13. (so Fort Lauderdale port) Plan on coming in a day early. Need decent inexpensive hotel.. can I get recommendations for one with a shuttle service from the airport and then offers shuttle to port?

 

Or......if you can tell me a hotel that a taxi or private pay shuttle will be available at a reasonable fee.

 

I've done the Caribbean before, but as I recall we went out of Miami as we were on RCI.

There are several area hotels. I would just google them.

 

Something a little nicer that includes a nice breakfast is the Embassy Suites and you can take a taxi over there and a taxi to the port and the fare won't be much.

Taxis are cheap in the FLL area - from airport to port is about $15 for the cab, not per person.

I went to the Hampton on SW 12th website and there is no mention of free shuttle service to either MIA or POM:-( They do list the cost for Super Shuttles and Taxis but nothing by the hotel itself. Could this be a service they discontinued?

I've read great reviews of this hotel.

The Hampton Inn on 12th St. is in Fort Lauderdale - about a 40+ minute drive from either Port of Miami or the MIA airport. :eek: They will not shuttle you that far for free!

 

If you are flying into FLL this is a good hotel - then either cab to Port Everglades or shuttle with SAS or another company to POM the next morning. Good luck! :)
