redpelican Posted July 25, 2012 Author #26 Share Posted July 25, 2012 I have my 5th back to back booked for the Dream in february and my 6th back to back for the breeze booked for 2014. It is the most relaxing vacation ever.... you do not have to feel rushed into getting everything in within the week, I think you were with me on the Miracle to Aruba??? I regonize the name from the roll call. We got to Aruba on a Sunday and it was closed...it also rained all day!
Luckysll Posted July 25, 2012 #27 Share Posted July 25, 2012 Did my first B2B in 2011 and have two booked - a B2B on the Breeze in Mar 2013 and a B2B on the Freedom in Feb 2014. In each case, the first and second weeks' itineraries are different.
redpelican Posted July 25, 2012 Author #28 Share Posted July 25, 2012 I like doing the B2b's, but it can get a little pricey. Can't imagine doing a triple...wow...maybe when my dh retires in 2 years we will have the time.....it really sounds like something we would like to do.:D
MrFunInTheSun Posted July 25, 2012 #29 Share Posted July 25, 2012 Back to back, two ships in November. Start on Sensation then drive to Port Everglades and head out on the Freedom. NCTribeFan Posted July 26, 2012 #31 Share Posted July 26, 2012 Have my 1st B2B booked for October. Was originally booked on Ecstasy 5 night + 4 night with an overnight in Nassau on the last Saturday. That probably would've been a lot of fun (even if I am getting really old!). But flying to Orlando, then the car rental/shuttle and all the other stuff just was getting too complicated. I'm solo on Leg 1 and have a friend joining me for Leg 2, plus DD and her new husband for their honeymoon on Leg 2. Driving down the day after the wedding, so I imagine I'll be ready for some relaxation! So now it's a 5 night solo (Freeport/Nassau) + 7 night (Grand Turk/HMC/Nassau) on Fantasy. Twelve nights is costing about the same as 9 thanks to no airfare. And the itinerary's better. I don't mind a similar itinerary. I rarely go to shows. Rarely do any onboard activities. Usually hang out in the casino or try to find someplace relatively quiet to read and relax. So I may actually "do" some things on those "extra" sea days! :D Really looking forward to it! ConnecticutFlamingo Posted July 26, 2012 #32 Share Posted July 26, 2012 Just Curious, how many of you guys are sailing B2B 's coming up? We are doing one in February trying to go for Platinum. I know we are not the only ones doing this. I'll bet Carnival is going to get more than the usual bookings for this. Nothing better than 2 cruises! We're doing our first B2B September/October on the Dream. 26 people with us the first week, 4 others the 2nd week. My sister and I don't know if we'll be bored or happy the second week when it's only us and the husbands!

My DH loves the b2b too, Amy, but getting the vacation time is not always easy. There is nothing better than having the ship all to your self when everyone else is leaving! Momis2 Posted July 26, 2012 #40 Share Posted July 26, 2012 We are already Platinum and are doing a B2B2B on the Splendor in Feb-March of 2013. We will be in the same cabin on the same ship for 48 days from Los Angeles to New York via the horn of South America. This is Splendor's repositioning cruise to the East coast and she is too big to go thru the Panama Canal.
Publius1787 Posted July 26, 2012 #41 Share Posted July 26, 2012 We will be doing our first B2B in January on the Conquest with an Aft Wrap! The second leg will get my wife to Platinum!

NCTribeFan Posted July 26, 2012 #45 Share Posted July 26, 2012 To be honest, I'm only doing the B2B because I have almost no friends who cruise and none of them could get the time off to just take one long cruise. I was really hoping to do the same HAL Hawaii cruise. That was fabulous!!! Or a Panama Canal on HAL. But I can't afford to go solo for 14 days. :( So to compromise, I'm doing the B2B combining a solo + a celebratory cruise. This way, I get the rest and relaxation of sailing solo, then I get the fun and activities of having a cruise buddy and family for Leg 2. People keep saying "you're going on your daughter's honeymoon?!??!?!" and then I have to explain that I've tried to pursuade her for a while to just get married on a cruise! That I'd pay for! And I've always said I'd pay for the honeymoon (within reason) since they're paying for most of their wedding. They decided they'd like to cruise for the honeymoon and she'd also like to help me celebrate my birthday. And then I changed the cruises and we won't actually be onboard for my birthday, but we'll be doing plenty of celebrating anyway! :D
redpelican Posted July 26, 2012 Author #46 Share Posted July 26, 2012 It sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time. There are days that I would not mind cruising solo....just think of how much one could kick back and relax!!! Don't tell my DH I said that.....thank God he does not read these boards!

I drive special needs school bus, so I am off work all summer :p it is wonderful but I do tend to get bored. If it werent so far of a drive to a port I would give the solo cruising a try. You do have a loooonnngggg drive don't you! I know nothing about Canada (,my Bad) , but what about NYC.? We have discovered the Southern Gulf coast, so for our little get away cruises, we can drive to New Orleans. We are more about the cruising, them the ports. I just love sea days! crzndeb Posted July 26, 2012 #50 Share Posted July 26, 2012 B2B2B in Sept. on the Spirit to Australia (36 days) and then a B2B2B on the Splendor around SA in Feb/2103 (48 days). I have never done longer than 16 days, so this will be a true test of life on a ship. I'm traveling solo, but there will be friends I have met from previous cruises on board...can't wait.
