NCL Credit Card....anyone have it?

I have gotten a lot of great advice from an earlier post about using a cruise line credit card in general but I am wondering if anyone has experience using the NCL Mastercard specifically ? Has anyone ever gotten enough points to actually earn a free cruise? If so, how long did it take? From my online research, it seems to look like it will take a very long time to accrue points and then maybe only have enough for some onboard credit or discounts on photos or something like that. Frankly, that's just not going to cut it. I would love to hear from anyone who has actually had experience using this card as we love cruising NCL but would be open to using the card linked to another line if the return is better. RCCL seems to have a pretty good card where users have actually been able to earn a free ticket! Any/all info will be very much appreciated!

Hi Just to let you know I have this card and use it for all my purchases for this past cruise we recieved 500.00 obc from the card and still will be entitled to any other obc promotion For example Amex for next year gave us $500 OBC and NCL master card will have about 1000.00 obc to use for anything and everything ....total of 1500.00 just 1 other thing if you book a cruise with the AMEX offer you have pay off the whole trip with the AMEX card otherwise you will not be entitled to recieve it  P.S you can use it for many different things on NCL from trips to upgrades at the casino you 50 .00 of credit you get 100.00 to play with When you join the NCL boa MC go on their website and check out all the different rewards it can be used for .......Hope this Helps:D

Yes I have this card, I received it in July and I have already worked up 30k points, granted the first use was worth 10k points. I use it for everything, any bill I can pay with it I do. Use it for everyday spending, gas, groceries, and if I need something but not instantly I look on the rewards mall where you can gain bonus points. For example last night I just booked a hotel room for $100 using a hotel on the rewards site. I get 6 bonus points per dollar spent so in all i get the 1 point per dollar base + the 6 points per dollar bonus and it will net me around 700 points for my hotel. I think it is definitely worth it because you can use the points for cash back, for NCL cruises, or to purchase things from their online mall. Just make sure you pay it off at the end of the month so you don't get charged any interest.

We have had our NCL credit card for 6 years, and we use it for everything. I think we average 40,000 points per year in regular points plus bonus points. We have never used our points to book a cruise. We have always redeemed them for OBC. Since you now have to pay for your excursions up front rather than having them charged to your on board account we now redeem our points for cash. I charge our excursions to our NCL card (and get bonus points):D then use the cash from the redeemed points to pay for the excursions on the card.

Our old card expired and we just got our new one and I must say I'm disappointed that our new card doesn't have a picture of a ship on it. :( I always loved seeing the ship on the card when I pulled it out to use it. :o
