slabeaume Posted September 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2012 Just curious---does the Noordam have a screening room? We've really enjoyed them on other HAL ships.

No. Movies are shown in the Queen's Lounge or sometimes the Vista (main) show lounge. The screening rooms on the Signature ships and two Vistas are nice, but too limited in capacity IMO. We sailed the Eurodam a few years ago and we always enjoyed going to the movies on other ships but the screening room on the Eurodam was so small we never arrived early enough to get a seat. We just cruised the Amsterdam and they still had the WaJang theater and loved going to the movies in the evening.

The only problem is, I sometimes fall asleep in those comfortable seats.

Also liked the free popcorn. Don't suppose you get that in the other screening areas, do you?
RuthC Posted September 5, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 5, 2012 Also liked the free popcorn. Don't suppose you get that in the other screening areas, do you? I manage to acquire a stash of popcorn on every ship I sail---that's all but two of the current fleet. (never know when there's going to be a popcorn emergency. ;))
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 5, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 5, 2012 There were a couple of times when the movies on the Vista class ships were held in the Hudson Room -- very crowded.

Perhaps you would consider sleeping elsewhere so that someone else would be able to sit in your comfortable seat to enjoy watching a movie! ;)
