No,that is way too early....heck,you may not even be off the ship by then......and if you do,you still have to get to the airport and go thru security and some other checks,if I recall that take forever!

I think it would be highly unlikely to impossible to make an 8:45am flight out of San Juan.

If you spend one night post cruise in San Juan, you can make that time the next day. I highly recommend that route. San Juan is a great place to visit pre or post cruise.

No, way too early. We did a B2B a couple years ago and we were very early off the ship and didn't get to the airport until almost 9:30. I would not book a flight out of SJU until at least 11, usually later.

Absolutely not....... There are always delays in customs in Puerto Rico.......ALWAYS

No way!!! That airport can be a nightmare to fly home from with everyone from the ship going to get flights home. last year I stood in line for 1 1/2 hr to check my bags.

I would not even consider that flight. The last time we sailed out of San Juan we didn't even start to depart off the ship until 7:30ish. There were problems with customs and there were custom agents on the ship at the room down the hall from us.:(

 

I would looked for another package.

 

We met up with some people at the airport who had a 10:00 am flight and missed it. It was a holiday weekend and they could not get a flight out until late Monday.

Please consider that the airport in San Juan has got to be the slowest operation I've ever seen. Wait times a few years back when I was there were horrendous for ticket counter checkin, security and even a hot dog at the only snack bar on the concourse. You are on island time and things are not efficient like on mainland US.

I was told not to book before 11 am and in fact, if you do cruise air there are no flights listed before 11 am. My flight home from San Juan is 11:43 am.
