8:45 AM flight out of San Juan

No,that is way too early....heck,you may not even be off the ship by then......and if you do,you still have to get to the airport and go thru security and some other checks,if I recall that take forever!

 

just remembered...there is an agricultural inspection too

I would not even consider that flight. The last time we sailed out of San Juan we didn't even start to depart off the ship until 7:30ish. There were problems with customs and there were custom agents on the ship at the room down the hall from us.:(

 

I would looked for another package.

 

We met up with some people at the airport who had a 10:00 am flight and missed it. It was a holiday weekend and they could not get a flight out until late Monday.

Please consider that the airport in San Juan has got to be the slowest operation I've ever seen. Wait times a few years back when I was there were horrendous for ticket counter checkin, security and even a hot dog at the only snack bar on the concourse. You are on island time and things are not efficient like on mainland US.
