Tendering to Belize for Platinum

Can someone explain to me how we get the "priority" tendering that comes with being Platinum at a tender port?

The other time I have been to a tender port we were just told to go wait in the show lounge and from what I can tell there was no priority.

What is the process to get one of these "priority" tendering spots?

Thanks

Go to the Platinum line at the guest service desk and ask for an escort off the ship because you are ready to leave. They will have someone walk you down to the front of the line. Some people go on their own, I prefer the escort because there is no conflict with others in line that way.

Yes that is a pretty cool perk, we did it in Sept. and felt like rockstars passing hundreds of people:cool:

So does that mean I ,being platinum, can go to the front of the line while my poor "non-platinum" husband has to wait?

POOR HUSBAND, POOR POOR HUSBAND:p

No,if he's with you, he gets to share in your Platinum benefits. LUCKY HUSBAND ;)

Welllllllllllllll you don't have to let him know that.

You can use it as leverage if you want, LOL:D

I use my *SPLASH* threat all the time before we sail. Hubby knows he will go *SPLASH* off the balcony if he acts up, LOL:eek:

I figured its not worth it to much if there are 600 other people in the same line that is platinum.. Just as slow as the regular line. Expecially after they rolled out the "FTTF" program... That just adds to the chaos...

I and my daughter are Platinum, friends were fttf, there was no line when we went to debark in Belize at the vip line... but the line on the ship to debark was very long, we passed them all by with our escort, just in case some in line decide we should not go ahead and block the stairs... plus they took us down an elevator that was not used for other passengers at the time..

LOL, I have used the "splash" method since I took him on his first cruise..friends are often surprised I bring him home...

BTW, that was him posting up there because I keep teasing him that if he isn't good, I will leave him behind and not let him tag along

I agree. Separate line, actually a separate way down t 0 deck then it is a merge to get on the tender. I think it works fine and is a nice perk.

So do they actually have a VIP "line" to get on the tender or do you have to go to the desk and ask? Probably silly asking now since we won't be at that port till our cruise next year, just curious. We are doing the Eastern in December and there are tender ports on that one I believe.

I show my card to the host managing the back of the line. Usually told to go down the opposite stairs and show it again. Always get to the front of the line without a problem. Can be held at the tender until almost full and then put on last which makes it first off at destination.

The only time I did this, the host had no person at the back of the line had no idea what Platinum was, and we were told we could not go forward.

The VIP/PLATINUM/DIAMOND LINE is at the guest service desk. Very fast to get to the front of the line this way without any hassle or any crew member who does not know what priority tendering is... and yes, there are a few who dont.

A funny story we had in Belize, we had a non Carnival tour to meet at tender dock early so we went to Concierge Desk to get our escort. The escort brought us down past the line and when we got to the tender area there was the golf pro with a group that were on a Carnival golf excursion. The escort told the security officer to make sure we got on the first tender. The golf pro told our escort that his group was taking the first tender because they had a plane to catch for their excursion. When he turned around the escort told the security officer to make sure we were on the first tender. We were on the first tender with the photographers as the golf group watched us sail away. :D
