FLOATMYBOAT01 Posted October 7, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2012 Is anyone aware of changes in distribution/pick-up of onboard purchases of duty-free liquor? Some paxs are reporting that on the smaller vessels paxs must pick up on day of disembarkation. Wondering if this is true fleetwide. This would be a huge imposition to paxs on the larger ships. Looking forward to your comments. Thanks. :D

Clarea Posted October 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2012 I can tell you that Monarch does the alcohol distribution on the morning of disembarkation.
chellecruise12 Posted October 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2012 When we went on Oasis in June, they delivered ours to our room the night before getting off the ship.
Rare silentbob007 Posted October 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Morning-of pickup is generally only for spring break cruises or more typical 'booze" cruises (ie, 3 nighters).
Yankee Doodle Posted October 8, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Morning-of pickup is generally only for spring break cruises or more typical 'booze" cruises (ie, 3 nighters). We always receive ours the night before disembarking. No change from that I know of.
beachbuddy Posted October 8, 2012 #7 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Denny, Okay, I found your thread. I was thinking that maybe on the shorter cruises but like I said, I can't imagine them doing this on the longer cruises and bigger ships.

I'm actually surprised so many people have replied in one day! I'd like to think we're not going to be inconvenienced the day of disembarkation.
Barklee Posted October 9, 2012 #9 Share Posted October 9, 2012 I was on the Oasis last week and bought a bottle of single barrel Jack Daniels on the last day at sea and they let me take it with me. I guess they figure most people won't polish off a liter of booze on the last day of a cruise.
