Giantfan13 Posted November 3, 2012 #26 Share Posted November 3, 2012 No problem Plus, us Giants fans do NOT eat Cheesesteaks from Philly. :D:D:D Cheers Len
phabric Posted November 3, 2012 #27 Share Posted November 3, 2012 Exactly as far away as Seafresh, but in the opposite direction: Masters Super Fish, 191 Waterloo Road, SE1 8UX. We will be staying at Primer Inn County Hall, Belvedere Rd, Lambath, London. Is this place close to it?
Anubi Posted November 3, 2012 #28 Share Posted November 3, 2012 And that's fine, I'm glad you enjoyed it. But another poster in this thread DID ask for recommendations for good F'n'C, and that is like asking for the best cheesesteak in Philly :) And others might now choose to go with your suggestion, but eat something else at the Sherlock Holmes knowing they can get more authentic fish and chips elsewhere another time. I don't think any of the locals who post here have any particular axe to grind, we just want to give as much information as possible for visitors to enjoy our wonderful country! Ok, now that I get. I'm sure we'll find great fish and chips in London. Sorry to have hijacked the thread. :o
Globaliser Posted November 3, 2012 #29 Share Posted November 3, 2012 Is this place close to it?Yes: Walk up York Road to the Imax cinema. Turn right and walk down Waterloo Road. After you go under the railway bridge, you will pass the entrance to Waterloo Tube (Jubilee Line) on your right. When you get to the crossroads where the Old Vic Theatre is, cross to the opposite corner (ie to the corner of the theare). Continue walking down Waterloo Road; you will pass the Waterloo Bar & Kitchen on your left, then a derelict office building. Masters Super Fish is about another 50 yards or so beyond that. If you go at dinner time, it'll be instantly recognisable by the fact that half of London's black cabs (licensed taxis) will be parked outside while the cabbies are eating dinner. It's closed on Sundays.

DeloreanGirl Posted November 6, 2012 #31 Share Posted November 6, 2012 Pls need CC help. There appear to be 2 different HoHo Bus lines in London- Big Bus & The Original. Any opinions on either one? Many thanks Carole We chose "The Original" and it was GREAT! Live guides were really helpful and they have 3 routes to choose from. We loved it.
