I've been looking too. :) So far the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South Blue Lagoon looks good for our January cruise. Free shuttle to port, plus we live in Florida and can leave our car there with free parking for the week, and have friends flying down so the free airport shuttle is nice for them. Rated #10 out of 129 hotels on Trip Advisor too.

Just my opinion don't make your decision as to hotel based on a shuttle.

Many of the airport area hotels and motels are somewhat isolated -- La Quinta East is the most often suggested on these boards and is a good option if your flight arrives late and all you want is a clean room the night before your cruise.

 

Blue Lagoon area hotels offer a local strip mall with shopping and dining options within walking distance.

 

As Keith mentioned above there are many other factors to consider when choosing a pre-cruise hotel. Good luck! :)

We used Hyatt Place ( Doral Area). Very good hotel. Did park and cruise last week for 119.00 plus tx= 134.00. That included transfer to the Port but not back.

 

We used SAS from Port of Miami to FLL. Very good service.
