I wish they had the Internet special when I was on it in October! Sounds like your dining experience was the same as mine. I think they are booking too many people ATD with too few waiters. Hope you have a great cruise otherwise!

Glad to hear this Internet package is on the Dream. Thought it was just a trial on the Magic. Hopefully they will offer it on the Freedom when I board her next Sunday.

Was on the 10/13 cruise and only had the wait on ATD on the second night. Solved that just went up to the steak house and they were glad to see us again. But after that never a wait and in and out in the MDR in an hour.

With ATD we had the first row of tables to the right and they were on point!

Glad to hear about the Internet plan hope you have a blast!

It shows on the ship map still near Ocean Plaza but my partner said he remembers seeing it somewhere else I'll check today.......

The CCL website still has it listed, but someone who was on it recently said they didn't have it anymore. So I don't know if they moved it somewhere else or off the ship. Thanks for checking!!

That internet deal sounds much better than what we had to pay last year. If you pay the 39.99 is it good for only one device or do you have to pay for each iphone, laptop, etc?

Ill be getting on the dream when your getting off next week! Have a great cruise!

Sushi is only available on the Dream in the Lido at night and you really have to look for it!

Ask for Vijay if you are on Deck 3 of the ATD. He is the best waiter I've ever had! He was in the back left corner a month ago.

Always remembered our names, what we liked, etc. Always had a smile on his face!

We had late seating last week on Dream, and it was painfully slow. The meal never flowed; many items forgotten or brought cold. One night someone in our party was never even given a menu. Of course, we were able to give him one of our menus, but that's not the point. On the first night, we didn't receive a bottle of wine from our wine package that we ordered at the beginning of the meal, until we were ordering dessert! One night (it may have been the "wine" night) we were so slow getting our food, that before we were finished eating, they were turning on the house lights, turned down the music, and they were making announcements to the waitstaff over the PA about the table settings for the next day.

Not making this stuff up. I wanted so much to not believe the poor MDR reviews I'd read here prior to our cruise, but sadly it was true.

The good news is, it didn't appear to be the entire dining room. We were on the second floor looking down and you could see other people finishing their meal and leaving. A little more frustrating for us, but maybe the service isn't poor in the entire MDR.

The cruise lines have "changed" their dining due to the requests of their passengers. Obviously, pax didn't want to be "summer camped" into dining at the cruise's discretion....they wanted to eat when they were hungry. So, first the advent of the buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner followed by YTD because peeps think 6something is too early and 8something is too late. Now, just like any restaurant that doesn't take reservations the dining room is solely at the mercy of the passengers who may ALL decide that 7pm is the "perfect" time. How in the world can the cruise eliminate lines that are a product of what passengers want...whether buffet lines or dining lines. Once upon a time the only option was an assigned table at an assigned time for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Passengers spent their time sitting down and waiting for the meal, not in line waiting for a table or for someone to prepare their food in front of them.

And in response to the poor service in the MDR...I also know that slow service, forgotten drinks, mix-up in foods occur and can be an annoyance especially if wanting to eat in a hurry to get front row seats at the night's revue. And just like any restaurant diners should complain, first in a nice way to the wait staff and then in a nice way to the Maitre d even to the point of demanding to be moved (if in assigned seating) if the problems persist. Complaining about something after the fact doesn't help...being pro-active does. Just like if the food is cold or doesn't taste good to you...send it back and ask for something else...don't just sit and complain.
