debcruising Posted November 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2012 Hi, I'm counting down to my 2nd HAL Cruise on the Eurodamn Nov 17th. My first cruise was on Noordam, Christmas 2010 Cat VF Handicapped. The Eurodam cruise, I upgraded from VA6001 to SS6056 (can not do "tubs" but SS luckily has a shower and tub.) Question, the photos I've seen of the SS Suite Queen Bed configuration show the bed smack against the wall? Can those beds be moved away from the wall to create a pathway for the person sleeping on that side? Or is that one bed "stuck" against the wall? I would appreciate a response, if anyone knows. Looking forward to a fabulous Thanksgiving at Sea!! Also, I enjoy the HAL Board and reading the threads gives me a "virtual vacation" each time!!! Fb_cruiser Posted November 6, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2012 Deb - Sorry, can't answer your question, but, we'll be on the same cruise, and just down the hall in our SS cabin. Looking forward to a much needed vacation. Maybe we'll see you on board! Frank

sapper1 Posted November 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2012 We have had an SS on the Eurodam and there was a night table between the wall and the bed. The beds are moveable.
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2012 I got this picture from Joanie's sticky of an SS cabin. You can see that there is some space from the wall to the bed:
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 6, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2012 This picture from Joanie's sticky is from the Nieuw Amsterdam -- sister ship of the Eurodam. From this angle you can see the little space between the bed and the wall:

Yes, as I recall that cabin is adjoining - so you'd be missing a wardrobe closet. If you're a heavy-packer/clothes-horse like me - Then it's best to avoid those adjoining rooms even if you're traveling w/ others as you can still communicate between rooms via the verandah's after the steward opens the partition. :)
