marylovestotravel Posted November 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2012 Hi, just reading that in concierge staterooms, on embarkation there is free garment pressing. Anyone had any experience with this? Pros and cons? Thanks for any insight on this topic. Mia

TKS Posted November 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2012 If I recall correctly, it's only one garment each, and service is next day.

khuselid Posted November 11, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2012 We had this service in our suite and it was great! They did an amazing job on the garments we sent!
hondorner Posted November 11, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2012 If I remember correctly, there are 2 "tickets" for pressing. Your choice as to whether it's two for one person or 1 each for a couple.
Cruisedreamer1 Posted November 11, 2012 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2012 If I send a piece of clothing out with this free service, it is for "ironing" only and not dry cleaning? Thanks.

RetiredFL Posted November 11, 2012 #9 Share Posted November 11, 2012 I seem to remember two garments per person but am not 100% sure. In any event pressing (Not washing or dry cleaning) is not that expensive if you have to pay for it.
RDMOREU Posted November 12, 2012 #10 Share Posted November 12, 2012 Would this also cover 'steaming' an item??? TIA

This past July/August on Riviera it was a total of four items pressed for our concierge cabin. Two of us in the cabin.
Rare ronrick1943 Posted November 14, 2012 #12 Share Posted November 14, 2012 They do a great job. You didn't ask, but the laundry is great also---doesn't cost more then you'd pay at home. So you can take a little less, send it out in the morning and get it back that night or the next day. It's a great service.
