Spender Nui Posted November 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2012 Considering cruising from Tampa. I'd like to learn how far the parking is from the ship and the terminal. Is it convenient? Is the parking in a garage or open? All help will be appreciated.
2ptu/000 Posted November 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2012 Yes, very convenient. We had a veranda that overlooked the port and it was right there. Check out cabin 179 pictures in the pictures of staterooms.
catl331 Posted November 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2012 When we last sailed from Tampa 2 years ago the garage was only about 200 yards away, but I think now HAL uses a pier that is about 900 yards away.

Homosassa Posted November 30, 2012 #8 Share Posted November 30, 2012 Tampa Girl, The "new" terminal is an old terminal which has been renovated. HAL's "old" terminal is now used by NCL and RCCL.

Spender Nui Posted December 1, 2012 Author #10 Share Posted December 1, 2012 Thanks to all for your response. KK, I don't see the picture you reference. Seems there is confusion regarding new/old terminal and where the parking is for each. Maybe it once was convenient and no longer is?
Richie2pies Posted December 2, 2012 #11 Share Posted December 2, 2012 HAL now sails from a terminal that only has uncovered parking unless you want to go waaay down the street and walk back. Maybe you could park in the covered garage after dropping the luggage and passengers off and walk back? The uncovered lot for HAL is very convenient to the terminal.
