Champagne waterfall

I have seen pictures of the champagne waterfall on the posts. How do you get to participate in pouring the champagne. Does everyone get to do this?

The Maitre'D invites all the "ladies" to pour. A line forms and you get a photo op with the Maitre'D "pouring " the wine. My son saw me on the cruise CD/video pouring the champagne, so we bought it. It helps video sales.

"Everyone" is invited to assist in the pouring fo the champagne. A ships photographer is also on hand (imagine that!) to capture the moment on film!

On the Coral recently, all were invited and the line formed directly behind the pouring stand. A very quick pour, photo shot and it's done, wait was not long.

Don't even bother to DRINK the champagne.. i gagged on it.. it was probably the worst thing I've ever tried to drink ever. Not sure what calibre of champagne they're using

DO NOT DRINK the champagne used in the waterfall EVER.

 

take note, the champagne they use to pour over the waterfall is not the same as the stewards are handing out.

The stuff being handed out may well be dodgy cheap fizzy wine but what they pour over the glasses to form a waterfall is bottled vinegar.

Once witnessed a champagne waterfall collapse after the ship listed, luckily the Maitre D had a good hold of the lady pouring the champers otherwise she would have landed on top of broken glass & a champagne puddle!

What cruise lines besides Princess even do the champagne waterfall...I've never seen it on NCL, Carnival or Celebrity.

The stuff they use in the waterfall itself isn't even classified as champagne. The boxes are labeled "vin mousseux" (fizzy wine). Even the stewards won't drink it. We left a bottle we'd been given in the cabin. Our steward told us that only the laundry crew would drink the stuff. They trade the bottles passengers leave for extra towels, etc.

Maybe I can't figure this sort of posts out, why would anyone care to speculate which line she worked for, how would it change her answers? Are you suggesting her answers are not truthful? :confused:
