Yes, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Below is one of the sights right before Christmas as we flew through Chicago O'Hare from Columbus on our way to Kansas. This is how part of the terminal was decorated for the holidays. Fun!!

Flying back today and not sure how all of the snow storms will impact things.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Did a June 7-19, 2011, Celebrity Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of wonderful visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 113,103 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at:

The look for the holiday season earlier this week at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago:

Great job on this. Did you have a back-light or flash unit behind the tree?

Thanks Dodger. No flashes were used, just a lot of photoshop to make the light from a wall sconce behind the tree look interesting.

Happy New Years!

Season's Greetings to all and Happy New Year 2013!

Dave, is it possible to achieve something like this with my HX9V - and if so, how do I do it??

Thanks - Uschi

Not in-camera. I did the radial blur in Photoshop Elements from this original.

If you have PS Elements, I can give a quickie tutorial on how it was done.

Anything on PS Elements would be great. I have PSE v8, PSE for dummies, been online with PSE tutorials on youtube, and I find it very difficult to figure things out.

Thanks Dave - sadly I don't, only have PhotoStudio (my aging computer won't run it :( - hoping to do something about that soonish ... ;) )

When you get ready, here's the link to the how-to:

BTW, if you're getting ready to upgrade, the post-holiday sales on Windows 8 machines should be pretty competitive this year.

Thanx. Very nice.

If you have any other PSE tutorials, love to see them.

Have just installed trial version of PSE11 on my new laptop :D:):D

'soonish' happened rather quickly, when my old HD died on me ...

Thankfully I had sufficient back-ups to make it a relatively painfree experience

All fixed...

when I re-published the site, I forgot to update the older class pages. Don't forget to refresh the pages when you go back to them.

Sorry about that!

Thanks for the quick fix, Dave - thought it had something to do with your site updates :)
