CRJ700 Posted December 31, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I need a picture of the machines that use the card It seems to me that you are over-thinking this. Why a photo of the machine? If it takes a S&S card, then I guarantee that your card will work and you will be able to charge your S&S account. If the machines take quarters, take your S&S card to Guest Services or the casino and get a cash advance in quarters from your S&S account. Same difference. Don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy your cruise! :)

cuyahoga11 Posted December 31, 2012 #10 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I know this is none of my business but you get free laundry, why would you use self serve laundry?
J Town Posted December 31, 2012 #11 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I was on the Dream in October and used the self service Laundry. They do use the S&S cards. You can actually buy detergent and such there also. I took my own in a glad bag. They are very slow to wash and very slow to dry. Doesn't take any more money, just very SLOW. Also, if you are planning on washing clothes try to plan it when know one else will be wanting to wash. I would say the best time would be in the middle of the night. Seriously! Don't wash on Sea Days and when you are short of time. There is only 2 laundry areas on the whole ship. One is on the Empress deck and I can't remember the other deck. You probably will not find a picture of the area, because it is very small and ALWAYS very full. You want to get in and out asap. I hope this helps. Tbay-eh Posted December 31, 2012 #12 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I honestly thought this was a joke and here I thought people took pictures of the weirdest things - I was wrong.
SadieN Posted December 31, 2012 #13 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I know this is none of my business but you get free laundry, why would you use self serve laundry? Because some clothes can be machine washed but need to be hung or laid flat to dry. Can't help OP because i've only seen ships use quarters. bbohbbneedacruise Posted December 31, 2012 #16 Share Posted December 31, 2012 :confused:I'm trying to figure out why OP wants a picture of Dream machines when they sail on Breeze next week. Why not just wait until you get on Breeze to see what the heck the payment thing looks like. I'm sure they will be similar if not that same as those that are found on Dream.

beachbum53 Posted December 31, 2012 #19 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I need to complete my photo album. Would you also include a picture of the iron I'll be using?:):D Slightly off-topic: I can't comment on the iron on the Dream, but I can tell you that the iron in the Liberty's laundry room on the Upper Deck leaks! If you don't yet qualify for free laudry service, it's worth a few bucks to have something pressed. With all of the wondrous things that we humans have invented, you'd think that somebody could come up with a clothes iron that could withstand the use (and misuse) of passengers on a cruise ship. Oh well...

babyblue78 Posted January 1, 2013 #22 Share Posted January 1, 2013 Maybe this was added at dry dock? We cruised in October the second cruise after the drydock and I can confirm that the laundry was Sail N Sign, did not accept change.
wrcjr98 Posted January 1, 2013 #23 Share Posted January 1, 2013 I just got back from a trip on the Dream - I didn't take any pictures in the laundry room - but the swipe thing is on the wall, it isn't on the washers or dryers - you swipe your Sail & Sign card and indicate what # machine you're using - (they have the washers & dryers all numbered - there are only 3 washers and 6 dryers on the 7th floor - sorry - no picture though-
