Car Rental?

Hi,

 

I'm thinking of renting a car in Fort Lauderdale for the day post-cruise as my flight isn't until 9pm. Can I rent one at the port?

Trying to figure out what to do that day and with luggage!!

We have the same problem, we plan to pick up and drop at the airport.

You can pick up right outside the cruise port at the Quay Plaza with Budget and return to the airport. No additional fees for airport drop off.

Only National and Alamo have this service from the port to the airport.

 

The Budget office mentioned above will provide a shuttle to their office. One benefit of renting from that office is you avoid all the special airport taxes that get tacked on when you rent at the airport.

We use Dollar/Thrifty....they're basically right outside the entrance to the port. You should be able to rent from this location & return to the airport. Just go on dollar.com & enter "Fort Lauderdale" as pickup location & it will give you the choice of the Port Everglades location...then enter FLL (airport) as dropoff point.
