If your turn around day is a U.S. port, you will have to leave the ship and clear Immigration. Bring your passport and if given an "in transit" card and go through Immigration. You will not be permitted to reboard until the ship has zeroed down which means all who are supposed to be leaving have done so.

If you wish to stay ashore for a length of time, go whenever you are ready. (At least, that is what we can do on HAL.) If you wish to reboard, wait until near the end of disembarkation so many of the guests have already left by the time you clear Immigration. You will have a shorter wait to reboard.

We have found, on HAL ships, we are usually back aboard in about 30-45 minutes.

If you get a new key card for your second segment, scan off the ship with your old card and scan back on with the new card.

I did a B2B (2 8-days) on the Miracle this past April...and can assure you that you will love it! Especially being in the same cabin (as I was)....there's no re-packing & moving for you!

On the night before disembarkation of the 1st leg, you will receive a letter in your cabin advising you of the procedure the following morning. If you want to simply just get off-get back on...they will tell you where to meet (probably in the lobby) & someone will escort you off/on. You will receive your new S&S cards upon re-boarding.

If you wish to get off & exit the cruise terminal before re-boarding, they will give you an "In Transit" card that you will present to the pre-boarding personnel when you're ready.

Have a great 2 cruises!

If you leave the terminal, when you come back, you do not need to go through the check in lines. You go direct to the security check and back aboard. That is the purpoes of the 'in transit' card.

I will be going out of and turning around in Jacksonville.

If your last port before Jacksonville is U.S., such as Key West, you likely would do Immigration there and it would not be required on your turn around day.

What is your last port?
