flowers44 Posted May 19, 2013 #126 Share Posted May 19, 2013 You are correct. It will be either 9 or 10. As I said, we had 10 and it was wonderfully easy to get to the water's edge. None of us had issues with mobility but we just ended up with # 10. I would think that RCI would accomodate accessiblilty issues without a problem. Good idea to call or email ahead of time. guidance lady Posted May 20, 2013 #127 Share Posted May 20, 2013 Hi, I love this thread, thanks all for the pictures of Nellie's beach cabanas and their location. Are there any out there of the barefoot beach ones and where they are located? I'm sailing on Dec 29 on Silhouette and they are already all gone. Can anyone tell me again the email of the concierge to write to? Thanks what would we do without all of the great tips on these threads? larry the lobster Posted June 5, 2013 #128 Share Posted June 5, 2013 Yup, #10 Is this #10 on Nellie Beach or Barefoot Beach?
larry the lobster Posted June 5, 2013 #129 Share Posted June 5, 2013 In October we had #3. On this sailing we had #6. It was AWESOME. The water level at #3 is too deep to stand. #6 is chest deep for about 30 yards (at least). And #6 is pretty secluded as well. Loved it! Definitely made up for getting into Labadee late (and all aboard was 4:30). Are these cabanas on Barefoot Beach or Nellie's Beach?
larry the lobster Posted June 5, 2013 #130 Share Posted June 5, 2013 OK I think I finally have most of this figured out...I am a suite guest so I am able to reserve at Barefoot Beach if there any still left. BUT which over the water Cabana is the best at Barefoot Beach?? Thank you!!
flyingv4me Posted June 5, 2013 #131 Share Posted June 5, 2013 This is a very informative thread. Thanks to all! Are there any issues with those not in cabanas using your cabana, floats, et cetera, while you are away (getting lunch, for instance)? Dumb question, but just curious. Can you leave your stuff while you're at lunch?

Can you leave your stuff while you're at lunch? Hi...the cabanas are for people who paid for them. So when you ask if there are issues? If you didn't pay for one then you would not be in the position to use one. Most of them are reserved way early (pre cruise). There are beaches that are open to anyone (no charge) with loungers (no charge) that you can use and you can leave your stuff there while you eat lunch. And if the person/people who rented the cabana happens to be in the restroom, in the water, etc.....? It would really not be accessible to someone else. All their stuff would be in them..... You would use the beach and not the cabanas. Edited June 5, 2013 by Lois R

I have rented an over-the-water cabana for my 1/12/14 Celebrity cruise and wondered what you did with your "stuff" while eating, swimming, et cetera. When on the beach we have always left someone with everything. Do you need to leave someone in your cabana to guard your stuff? Does your butler keep an eye on things? I honestly don't know! Rare Lois R Posted June 6, 2013 #135 Share Posted June 6, 2013 Sorry then, I misunderstood your question.........guess it was not as clear to me. Yes, there is a "Cabana guy" who works there.....the folks I know, they left all there stuff in their cabana while they went to eat lunch. I shared a cabana but ended up moving. The people I shared it with left their stuff in the cabana when they ate.
flowers44 Posted June 6, 2013 #136 Share Posted June 6, 2013 When you are in the water, your cabana is in your full few so your stuff is fine. When we went to lunch on Barefoot Beach, we left our stuff in the cabana on Nellies with no issues. We did cover it up with towels but everything was fine. That being said, I wouldn't take my best jewelry or expensive items with me from the ship. We only had the basic necessities such as cameras, sunscreen and sea pass card. We took towels from the ship but had towels in the cabana when we got there. There is a cooler with ice, water and cups. You may want to shop at the open air market. In that case, you will need cash along also.

kimala Posted June 8, 2013 #139 Share Posted June 8, 2013 Thank you so much for your help!! I guess you don't know what the number is on the jumper cabana? How would be the best way for me to describe it to the person in charge of assigning the cabanas? I appreciate your advice! I could not be happier that I was able to reserve on of these! :D ...Why don't you print the OPs picture with the "Jumper"labeled and take it with you to show the person who sets up your cabana reservation.?. Can you leave your stuff while you're at lunch? Yes you do have to be careful, even while we were in our cabana we had 2 different people use our staircase to get out of the water. I'm not totally sure what they thought they were doing but I think once they got to the top they felt kinda silly. But anyway if everyone leaves the cabana just be careful because anyone can just go up the stairs.;)

I fell REALLY hard though.......I ended up going to the Doc after I returned home.
