Curly locks Posted January 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2013 Hi! I'm going on my first Royal Caribbean cruise (Explorer of the Seas) at the end of March this year. :) Reading these threads, some people have mentioned Ice Show tickets being handed out at CC Meet & Mingle events. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, as this is my first RCI cruise and my grown up daughters first ever cruise, are there any other tips or advice you can give us? We're visiting Port Canavral, Nassau and Coco Cay. Thank in advance and happy cruising!
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted January 21, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2013 It's not happened at any M&M I've attended. Bet you're looking forward to getting away from the weather we've been experiencing here! You will have a fabulous holiday. Read up as much as you can on the ports of call before deciding what you want to.
Cotswold Eagle Posted January 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2013 I was on the Explorer in December and yes the Group Coordinator (Rodriguez?) brought tickets to the M&M, which was taking place at the same time as the ice show ticket distribution. From what he (and others) said, it seems like this is a usual thing for him to do.

TEXASMUNK Posted January 21, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 21, 2013 It seems this is not a policy, but it sure would be a great benefit for the CC members that attend! Are you listening RCI? If not, let's all start adding this suggestion to our comments cards!
bugsy253 Posted January 21, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 21, 2013 What if the benefit of this ... is there a charge for the ice show?
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted January 21, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 21, 2013 What if the benefit of this ... is there a charge for the ice show? Means you don't have to go queue for them at a set time..... no charge
lakelorain Posted January 21, 2013 #10 Share Posted January 21, 2013 I've been on the Explorer several times. If the Meet and Mingle is held at the same time they are distributing tickets to everyone, the staff will distribute tickets at the M and M also. Often, the Upper Tier Event is an ice show on the Explorer so tickets are delivered to your cabin for this event.
VABeach Posted January 22, 2013 #11 Share Posted January 22, 2013 How do you know which show you want to see? Is it different everyday? How does this work?
luvscruising2007 Posted January 22, 2013 #12 Share Posted January 22, 2013 How do you know which show you want to see? Is it different everyday? How does this work? they generally have 2 different shows which are performed at least twice during the week. It will be in the Compass telling when and where they will distribute the tickets. They will ask you which show time you want. I don't remember if they have tickets for both show that first time or not. I am sure someone will know. I would go to both shows if you are able to get tickets for both. They are both quite different and each will be performed more than once. On our recent Explorer cruise the 1st show was the 2nd or 3rd day and the other show was held day 7 and/or 8. I hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise. Clarea Posted January 22, 2013 #13 Share Posted January 22, 2013 How do you know which show you want to see? Is it different everyday? How does this work? They perform the same ice show about 4 times. You just pick the time that's convenient for you.

scrappylenore Posted January 24, 2013 #18 Share Posted January 24, 2013 Just got off the Explorer yesterday. No tickets needed for the ice show on day 2 and 3. You were assigned a show to go to based on your muster station. No wasting time waiting on line for tickets on your vacation.
