Shower size in Vista class suites?

We've sailed in balcony cabins on 3 Vista class ships (Oosterdam, Noordam, and Zuiderdam), and we like the extra roominess of the tub/shower combination, compared to the very small shower stalls in balcony cabins we've had on other cruise lines. This summer, we're thinking of booking a suite for an Alaska cruise on either the Westerdam or the Oosterdam -- but, looking at the cabin diagrams, it appears that there is a separate tub and shower stall in the suite bathrooms. If we upgrade to the suite, will we have just a small shower stall, or does the tub include a shower head, too? (If the shower stalls are actually roomy, that would be great to know!)

Thank you for sharing your experience -- we would also enjoy any tips regarding suites on these two ships.

The best way to describe the size of the Tubs and Showers in the various suite category staterooms is to show you photos and descriptions from fellow CC member:)

I will try to post the various category staterooms on the Vista ships below (will take a number of posts since CC only allows 6 images in any one post) This post is of the typical SY, SS and SZ Superior Verandah Suite Staterooms (Click on each photo to see the full sized image):

The bathrooms will be almost the exact same size on all the vista ships.

I hope these help. YOu can also look at the other 3 Vista ships here: http://abqreunion2008.com/ Just click on the name of the ship; i.e., Noordam, Oosterdam, Westerdam and Zuiderdam. Got to main page for that ship and near the bottom will be a linked deck for you to look at. Most of the SY, SS and SZ staterroms are on Deck 6 and 8.

The SA and SB's are located on decks 7 and 8

The SC staterooms are on Deck 4, 5 and 6 at the very aft of the ships.

Hope this helps in choosing your stateroo.

I like the showers in the Vista/Signature Class "SA" suites. I think there's plentyu of room considering it's a cruise ship. We're okay with the tub/shower on the "S" ships as well. Having both to choose from is great.

We found the shower stall in our Vista SS cabin to be noticably smaller than what we get in an inside cabin on HAL. I'm guessing it was as small as the tiny shower we had in a Princess cabin. As it wasn't draining well anyway, we gave up using it and showered in the tub. Thankfully the sides of the tubs on the Vista class ships aren't as high as those on the older ships. It was OK to get in/out, but we do prefer to use a (working) shower stall.
