Will Carnival give me anything...

This will be my first time cruising with Carnival. They should give me something for free to make sure I want to come back again.

What's funny about that is you are more likely to get a call from the Upsell fairy than I am. They already know that I'm hooked. Rarely get the call.

I've taken 39. Ask me how much love they give me.

CWcruisers...how much love have they gave you?

39 cruises? 39:eek:

Have you considered adoption? Looking for a happy early 40's couple that likes to travel?

:D

Just supply your sailing info on John Healds Facebook page a week before sailing, and he win have someone send you something.

Yep, not even sure you need a reason to get something from Mr. Heald. But if you did need a reason you could try that your neighbor's third cousin's former third grade teacher's sister has an ingrown toe nail. That might work.;)

I am thinking about calling Carnival and asking for, say some complementary wine, fruit basket, or onbard credit. What do you think? I have taken more than 6 cruises on Carnival, can they spread the love?;)

Sure and why not ask for upgrade to owners suite while you are at it

Nope. Just say "I want" and ye shall receive.

Short answer is NO.

Long answer - a great company should not have to be "asked" to reward it's most loyal customers. If you're unhappy with Carnivals loyalty items (whatever they are) maybe find a different cruise line that puts more emphasis on customer retention/satisfaction (if it exists?) .

I think it's a bit cheesy to ask for something. I don't know, that's just me and my .02.

I am not saying any of this in a sarcastic manner.. just being honest with my .02 :)

Sure they'll give you something....if this is your 6th cruise, you will get 1) a coupon for a free drink at breakfast/lunch/brunch as well as an invite to the gold/platinum/diamond party where you will be given as many free drinks as you can drink during that 45 minutes.

Calling and asking for something free is likely to get you nowhere. I do agree that going to John Heald and asking may get you something, but unless this cruise is a special occasion--birthday, anniversary, honeymoon--doing this is just tacky.

Nope. That's what the loyalty perks were for. But now those same perks that the loyal earned are available just for the asking, and others you can buy up to.

Hmmm not always true as this will be my sixth with Carnival and I will only hit 24 points on my next cruise.... :( Im gonna be one point away from GOLD...I don't really mind as it just means something to look forward to next cruise. Altho last cruise I did have a gold S&S and I feel as tho something awesome has been taken away from me until reality hit and I realized really it wasn't ALL that much....

Just booked our 5th cruise with Carnival, but not departing until February of next year. Last cruise I had a very nice fruit and cheese basket, bottle of wine and certificate for a free photo waiting in our room from the casino player's club, and another bottle of wine from our PVP. But none of these gifts had anything to do with appreciation from Carnival itself nor did I expect anything.

I do get the "level" perks tho. But almost 250 days @ sea have been paid for! The occasional btl of wine from a Captain, and some specialty sweets from the sous Chef. Fruit baskets were discontinued years back, other than ordered from ship.

You will receive complimentary shampoo and liquid bath soap in your shower, as well as a towel animal on your bed, made just for you. It's Carnival's way of thanking you for your loyalty.
