curty44 Posted February 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Hi Everyone, My family is planning on booking a cruise to the Western Caribbean itinerary onboard the Oasis Of The Seas in September of this year! When would be the best time to book to get cheap prices? Thanks :)
SadieN Posted February 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Cruise prices are like airfare, need a crystal ball to figure that out. On SOME itins we have found fares SOMETIMES drop just after final payment is due. If you need/want a specific cabin(s) book early.

Krazy Kruizers Posted February 5, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Welcome to Cruise Critic. You may or may not get a deal. September -- hurricane season -- many people don;t like to cruise then -- so there could be lots of cabins left and you might get a good deal. But also -- not many ships have returned to the Caribbean in September and those that are there are charging higher prices -- thus there may not be a good deal.. Hard to predict what will happen. chipq Posted February 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I check my Magic 8-ball and it is 50/50 in accuracy. It all comes down to the demand for a specific cruise date. High demand equals higher fares; low demand usually equals price drops. Totally hit & miss. Good luck. http://luv2cruise.blogspot.com

While cruise price MIGHT drop as date nears, air fare is likely to go up. Either can go either way, so you might as well check out options and when you feel you have found a package you can live with, book it.
