Anyone know what the theme for the cruiser's choice theme party ended up being? Thanks.

Nothing announced yet. They are all on the Divina right now until they disembark in Cozumel on Wednesday; we might have to wait until then to find out.

Do we need to register for the M&G and if yes... how do we do that?

I just heard back from Rachel at RSVP that is helping coordinate the M&G (she is boarding Divina tomorrow with Randle and the gang for a final checkout).

The Meet and Greet will be at 1 pm Golden Jazz Bar on February 16th. (From Rachel who is coordinating entertainment: "That works best with other RSVP scheduled events.")

The Golden Jazz Bar was my favorite bar from what we saw on the tour. :)

It helps to know how many people are coming and who is coming (I print up name tags); also cabin numbers are useful in-case there is a late change and I need to notify people about it. The information stays with me and is not shared with anybody (except maybe with the ship if they want to help with notifications; only time so far it has happened was once on NCL when the ship invited us back to a second meeting to give feedback on our cruise).

So how to do it:send me an email at boytjieny at yahoo dot com and give me your name(s), Cruise Critic id(s) and cabin number.

I have received a number of RSVPs already, I am not acknowledging each as I receive it but will send out an email to everyone closer to the cruise date.

Thanks Peter for the update. I met both Rachel and Randle this past summer on our RSVP Riverboat sailing on the Danube. Rachel is wonderful and lots of fun to be with. Randle is a great guy too.

Thanks for your work on the m&g and all of the info you've posted here. My partner and I are cruise and RSVP virgins. What times do the tdances happen? We've heard that there will be country western dancing on board. Does anyone know when and where?

My pleasure arranging it :)

The tea dances usually start around 4-5 pm and go to about 7 pm - depending on what's happening - we are could be at sea or leaving a port.

I have not participated but I believe there is country dancing instruction during the day time and then some dancing at night.

We used to get a detailed schedule of events for the week before we boarded but lately they only tell us beforehand when the big events are and other details are released once we are on board.

First cruise and RSVP. WOW, you'll be spoiled for any other cruises in the future that are not RSVP. Welcome aboard.

I mean really... when will you have time to watch DVDs on a RSVP cruise?!

Or are they "specialty" DVDs. ;)

Peter I like that term, "Specialty". So much better than "porn", lol. Do you have the answer about the DVD player attached to the TV?

By "specialty" DVDs do you mean The Box Set of all episodes of The Golden Girls? If so, I'm there. I will bring all the episodes of Designing Women. We'll make a day of it.

I have seen that the TV's are interactive where you can plan excursions, look at your charges, etc. I hope it plays some decent music channels. I don't shlep my dock station around so music on the TV is kinda sweet.

Will there be drinking games for the Designing Women series? If so, I may want to partake.

Does anyone know if there are DVD players built-in to the TV's?

I hope this is of help. I typed Divina dvd into the cruise critic search box and most replies say that there is just a flat screen TV in Divina cabins, but as MSC have availability for people to buy internet packages you are able to put a HDMI cable through the TV's. So on MSC Divina to hook up a laptop and watch DVD movies just connect to a spare hdmi slot at the back of the TV you then turn it on and put it in TV mode. Then will you be able to use the source button to select the slot you have your DVD player in and watch your DVD on the TV screen.

Our first cruise was an RSVP cruise in 2005, and Dan is correct, we got spoiled right off the bat! This will now be our 9th RSVP cruise, and we only did one other "regular" cruise (which had a large contingent of Pied Piper cruisers). We skipped two years and suffered from withdrawal!

Yes, we figured we would start with the best. I don't think we'll ever catch up with you. We still have to make an occasional trip to Maui.

I thought the attached PDF may give some helpful tips for those wanting to see Maho airport flight movements. This PDF relates to my cruise on the NCL Getaway the week prior. The RSVP MSC Divina will also docks on a Tuesday. It has some information on the types of aircraft that land at the airport there and it also includes a typical Tuesday schedule showing when you can expect the "big planes" to land.

In addition to the landings, if you want to see the biggest jet blast over the beach you also don't want to miss the KLM 747 when it takes off at 1:50 on Tuesday afternoons.

...Just don't stay too late and end up missing the ship as apparentlySt Maarten traffic can get very bad very fast in the afternoons.

Hi all question for anyone that can answer. Spinning; are you able to prebook or is it a mad dash when you get onboard?

You gotta run like mad!

Just kidding. I don't think anyone here has sailed Divina so won't knows for sure but I doubt that spinning is the biggest draw in the gym, it's usually da weights. I think I read they do spinning in a pool on Divina.

Another tip for newbies:

Many of us make "Cruise Cards" to pass out to new or old friends. They are like business cards but are valuable in keeping track of friends on the ship and later when we get home to share pictures, etc. They can be made on your computer with several programs and printed with you computer (as we did), or ordered from various companies like Vistaprint.

I tried to attach a picture of this year's card of ours, but I can't seem to do it. It includes a picture of us, our names, email addresses, address, and Cabin number on the Divina.

I'm unsure about the pre booking question but the pool spin class looks Fun. I found this picture from a recent Divina cruise out of Miami
