Debarkation from Explorer then what?

We have a nine night cruise from New Jersey on Explorer of the seas in the summer.

When the cruise ends we have a flight from Newarke to the UK but it doesn't leave until 6 pm!

So my question is how long can we stay on explorer will they expect us off by say 10am? Any suggestions for things we could do then until we go to the airport bearing in mind we will have lots of luggage with us.

You may check to see if there's an excursion/tour that takes you around town and drop you off at the airport by 3/4pm. The luggage stays inside the tour bus and travels with you to the airport.

They will pretty much want you off the ship asap. Other than an excursion there is not much to do in that area other than possibly going to a local mall to shop or going into NYC. Sorry.

Stay two extra nights and hit the Woodbury Outlets!

Not very doable with luggage. Check for a possible excursion or a day room at one of the airport hotels.
