What a pleasant email I rec'd From Royal Caribbean today

Recommended Posts

What prompted this email, I have no clue.

On arrival at the pier, guests booked in the Presidential Family Suite, Royal Suite, Royal Family Suite, Owner's Suite, Grand Suite, Royal Loft Suite, Sky Loft Suite, AquaTheater Suite and Crown Loft Suite have access to dedicated security (where available) and check-in lines to help ease them swiftly through the boarding process and directly to their suite accommodations. Additionally, guests booked in the Royal Suite and Presidential Family Suite are personally welcomed by a senior officer at the cruise terminal and escorted to their suite.

Upon check-in, all guests booked in Grand Suite and higher category staterooms receive distinctive gold SeaPass cards, which enable ship crew and staff to provide them with the personalized service and offerings available to suite guests throughout their cruise vacation. On arrival in their suites, guests are welcomed with complimentary water and a fruit plate. Complimentary slippers, luxury spa bathrobes and Royal Caribbean International's exclusive range of Vitality bathroom amenities--specially created for the cruise line--set the tone for a relaxing and rejuvenating cruise vacation. In the evenings, guests can satisfy their sweet tooth with Ghirardelli® chocolates at turndown and ensure a perfect night's rest with Royal Caribbean International's plush duvet and bedding, including a special menu to select their pillow of individual preference.

On the first formal evening of the cruise vacation, these guests are treated to a pre-dinner cheese presentation, and on the second formal or final evening of the sailing, a 'petits fours' plate during turndown service. Guests also enjoy complimentary 24-hour room service and coffee and tea service throughout their cruise vacation and the exclusive privilege of ordering from the main dining room's full breakfast, lunch, or dinner menus to dine in the privacy of their suite. For guests wanting to stay in, a popular board game from toy brand Mattel®'s game menu can be ordered for delivery to the suite for hours of fun game time. A dedicated suite attendant will deliver Royal Caribbean International's Gold Anchor Service throughout the cruise vacation and help to fulfill any special requests, such as pressing service--complimentary on formal evenings.

Guests booked in Grand Suite and higher category staterooms have special privileges and access on their Royal Caribbean cruise vacation, including an invitation to an exclusive private cocktail reception hosted by the captain of the ship. Reserved VIP seating in the main theater for entertainment shows, priority bookings for appointments in the salon and spa, and priority tendering and shore excursion tickets are some benefits provided to suite guests. On Voyager- and Freedom-class ships, suite guests have reserved VIP seating poolside as well as at the spectacular ice shows in the Studio B venue. Guests dining in the Windjammer Café during breakfast and lunch also enjoy reserved private seating in the adjacent specialty restaurants.

Aboard Radiance-, Voyager-, Freedom- and Oasis-class ships, these suite guests will receive a personal key to the Concierge Club. Hosted by the ship's concierge, the Concierge Club offers suite guests a relaxed atmosphere, business services such as faxes and photocopies, an extensive library of DVDs and CDs, and complimentary continental breakfast and pre-dinner cocktail receptions daily. The concierge is on-hand to see to the needs of the suite guests and assist with any special requests, such as securing reservations in specialty restaurants, pre-ordering wine for dinner, booking Explorations! shore excursions, scheduling spa and salon appointments, and arranging a private event.

At the conclusion of their cruise vacation, these suite guests enjoy priority departure from the ship and complimentary valet luggage service, where their bags are automatically transferred to the airport, freeing them to enjoy an excursion or other pursuits at the port city.

Thank you for choosing Royal Caribbean International. As a Diamond member of our Crown & Anchor Society, we truly appreciate your loyalty and patronage. We look forward to welcoming you onboard the Explorer of the Seas, September 29, 2013.

Sept 29th seems so far away :(

I've stayed in a GS a couple of times and can attest that I enjoyed all the amenities you listed and more. The service was impeccable and I felt like royalty, in my cabin as well as elsewhere on the ship!

I can only surmise you've booked a suite for an upcoming cruise, which prompted RCCL to send you this email. If that's the case, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Thanks, I will try and enjoy myself :) I was in fact thrown for a loop when the email stated that I would be getting a menu that would allow me to select my choice of pillow........wow. (one of each) I am going to take that menu home and leave it on my bed and see if the pillow fairy makes a visit...lol

Zigggypup - I did my first and thus far only solo in a GS onboard the Navigator. It was during the Christmas season and knowing there was a great surround sound system in the GS, I brought along some of my favorite Christmas CD's. I had the most amazing, relaxing time as I lazed around the cabin listening to great music over those SS Bose speakers, all the while with a great glass of wine in hand.

Just be mindful of the super deep bathtub in a GS (don't know about other suite categories) because it can be a witch to get out of when you're done. It's a long, rather painfully hilarious story I won't go into here, but take the word of a solo cruiser that a helping hand could be worth more than any perk RCCL offers!:D:eek:

First letter that I ever got, but who knows what ended up in my spam folder.

Are the items on the list that don't reference Freedom or Oasis class specifically available on all ships? We'll be in a GS on Jewel in May. Last time in a GS was a few years ago. This may mean I don't have to pack my own pillow ;)

Thanks for the info, I have been in a GS before. They are very comfortable suites. But for this sailing I am in a OS for the first time. Got a super rate and will be knocking the rate down significantly with some Royal points. Due to various family member illnesses and other things that come under the "Murphy's Law" category, we haven't really cruised since the summer of 2009. So I figured why not get the biggest bang for my buck. Who knows what tomorrow might bring.

You can't beat a GS. The only problem is once you are in one, it's very hard to go back to a lesser room !

That was my problem. My first ever cruise was on Voyager in a JS. Needless to say I couldn't go down in category for future cruises and became spoiled.
