Player's Club Question

We will soon cruise for the 23 time on Princess. In the past we have always phoned the Player's Club prior to the cruise, provided our booking number and Princess number. We have received anywhere from $25 each to $100 each.

Phoned yesterday. Spoke with their representative. I must say she was rude. I asked her to check our booking and player's club number for anything that we may qualify for. She said if Princess was offering anything we would have received a notice.

Frustrated, I tried again to explain to her what had transpired in the past. Again, she said there was nothing. I find this hard to believe since we spend a considerable amount in the casino.

Maybe there has been a change. Has anyone else encountered this recently?

Thanks.

Shirley

We called about two months ago. Very nice rep who gave me $25 in cash to use in the casino. Since the cruise is so close I am going to call back and verify. We leave next sat. Will let you know. Maybe call back and see if you get a different rep.

We were on the Golden in September. I contacted Princess Players Club a few months before we sailed. I received $25.00 in play and the casino host sent chocolate covered strawberries to our stateroom one evening. What a nice surprise! Call back as another poster suggested. You might be able to speak with someone who will be more helpful.

We are going on our third year in a row with Princess and I called the Players club again this year, for our April cruise, and they are giving us each 200.00 to play with. I have never heard of getting a notice from them. We also received chocolate covered strawberries and comp wine in our room from the Casino managers. We spent quite a bit but nothing to be considered a high roller. I would call back and ask to speak to a manager. They have all your account info for what you spent and they should be able to do something for you. Hint: it helps to get to know the Casino manager on your ship and ask him to call the Players club and put a word in....Good Luck..

I may Have encountered encountered the same rep about two or three weeks ago. My sister and I spend a great deal of time in the casino.

In the past we were put on the vip list and and received various treats throughout our cruises. Not this time, entitled to nothing. We cruise twice a year and sometimes more.

Thanks, everyone, for responding. We both called, thinking maybe we would have a different person. Same female both times.

We plan to discuss this with the casino manager once on-board.

We also cruise a lot on Carnival. They are great as far as customer service goes when we phone the players club. We receive a premiere casino cruise offer at least every three months.

I just called the Princess line from the Ocean Players Club website and spoke to Ron. Pretty sure he was cut from the same cloth as the ones who have been turning down the recent posters here and on the casino forum. Told me that I didn't book one of the 6 dates they offer casino credit on dependent on getting some invitation in the mail? I explained that on Carnival last year I was given chocolate covered strawberries and a photo coupon and during play was routinely offered free snacks and he said they only offer credit for use while playing in the casino.

Later in the conversation he rattled off a bunch of other things they give out like gifts and drinks so he ended up contradicting himself yet still stuck to the claim that I didn't qualify for anything.

As someone said, talk with the Casino Manager or host when you get aboard. (You might be able to do this on the first day when they are in the Casino stamping the treasure hunt cards as the host is the one doing that in most cases). I was able to have the host contact the players club and was given appropriate credit. I have also called (on other cruises) and been told how much to expect. Never had a problem in either case but the key seems to be the Casino Host.

Just got off the phone to verify my $25 cash on the Crown next week. Had no issues at all -- seems like they are not consistent. They are sending me an email to confirm the $$ so that I have it in case there are any problems on the ship.

Would you mind posting the name of the person you spoke with and also the phone number.

Thanks.

I also called today. I spoke to 3 different people because they kept telling me I had to call someone else. Finally, they told me I was never a rated player and the amount I spend on the slots basically didnt amount to anything. I told him I play the tables and he said I should have spoken to them and got rated on my last cruise. I told him that I didnt know I should. He really didnt care too much and the call ended.

Michael @ 1-888-672-2582

Do not know how to reach him directly -- only have the 888 number.

Thanks. We have dealt with Michael many times, but always in connection with a Carnival cruise. We will phone him tomorrow and explain the dilemma of the Princess cruise.

Just phone Michael and casino credits are applied. thanks for posting the number. I have never dealt with Michael in connection with a Princess cruise.

To answer the post by Luvprincess, if you have cruised Princess before, played in the casino and used your sail and sign card, call as you may be eligible for a credit.

Luvs princess, it really depends on how much you gamble. My husband plays slots but not as much as me. He did not qualify for credit on the next cruise. If they checked your play and you did not qualify, good for you! You have saved more $$$ then the 25 they are giving me. LoL.

Just wondering if I should call b/c yesterday they said I didnt spend enough in the slots and they wouldnt give me any credits. Do you have Michaels # or last name?

See post #17. Just ask for him by first name when you get someone.

QUESTION???

Are the people that got the credits in the casino...in the VIP Casino group already?

I think most of those posting here are did not receive the mailer/letter from Princess with the short list of VIP Cruises offered or at least that's not what they are discussing. The letter specified what cash is offered, specific cruises during the year, drinks-on-us, cocktail party, gifts. They're talking about calling to see if cash offered on whatever their next cruise happens to be - not the offer sent out by Princess Players Club.
