cosmar Posted April 6, 2013 #579 Share Posted April 6, 2013 I will answer the comments tomorrow, I just want to get another set done today first. After some time in the solarium we decided to go to the chains sale, they were holding a sale in front of the casino in the shops. My aunt had asked us to get her the chain with the colored pebbles in it, she had originally bought a set for her self on an X cruise, but she somehow misplace it and needed them replaced. Let me tell you something, this is an absolute rip off, we got two and 1/4 inches of this and it was something like $13, I could not believe it. That is not even real gold, I believe they called it plated gold, but in any case we got what we needed and payed for it. They also had this huge bottles. Last March on Allure, they had a (inch of Gold) sale. The one you bought was $1. an inch, so for a 8 inches bracelet it cost $14. in all ( bracelet and attachment)
swim13 Posted April 6, 2013 #580 Share Posted April 6, 2013 Just wondering, what is the cage like structure on the top deck in the front of the ship? I was looking at another picture of the Silhouette and just noticed this.

swim13 Posted April 6, 2013 #585 Share Posted April 6, 2013 Basketball court? I got to that area on the last day Basketball court. Ahhh ok, I thought so but I'm so used to most of the ships having the court in the back! :p
Maligator Posted April 6, 2013 #586 Share Posted April 6, 2013 Ahhh ok, I thought so but I'm so used to most of the ships having the court in the back! :p I accidentally stumbled into it while exploring Equinox. I doubt it got much use, but it wasn't really basketball weather. :D

Beth C Posted April 6, 2013 #589 Share Posted April 6, 2013 So I go to work for a few days and come back to 12 pages to catch up on! Now I have to say as a "Loyal Royal"... you might have turned me ;) I have friends who only sail Celebrity (mainly because they went from All Inclusives to cruising a couple of years ago and the alcohol packages with Celeb was the easiest transition for them) who are constantly trying to get me to sail 'their line'... After seeing the ships up close and personal I think I may just have to try it myself with them next winter!

loyalroyal17 Posted April 6, 2013 #593 Share Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GAMBEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi Gambee! I just had to wish you a happy birthday and hope you have a fabulous day and do something fun! I only know a couple of places in Ft. Lauderdale, but if I were there, I'd be stopping in at the Rok Bar for the 2 for 1 mega margaritas!! Loving your review! I think I have to go on this ship just for the entertainment in the martini bar, lol! I have this and Bugsy's live review in my Favorites for easy access, and was wondering what other threads are you reading? I may have to add them as well! Thanks for all your hard work, and have a great day!:) Celeste Edited April 6, 2013 by loyalroyal17

When I am doing these reviews I hardly have time to do anything else. I know radio should be starting another love review this weekend I think. But since you asked, I also following the everything breakaway and everything. Royal Princess and my roll call. That's pretty much it, anything more and I would be overwhelmed. Once again that you very much. :)

JacknShelby Posted April 6, 2013 #600 Share Posted April 6, 2013 I went for the Sony NEX-F3, this camera is among the most affordable cameras on the NEX lineup, yet still has the same sensor as some of it's more expensive siblings. This is a great little camera, you will have a hard time finding a camera in this price range that produces such great images, while keeping its size so compact. For any of you out there wondering, the Kit lens 18-55mm that comes with the camera produces very sharp images, the only reason I don't travel with it anymore is because I don't use that focal range that often and it would be just making my bag heavier. But if you're are planing on buying the camera with just the kit lens, I can guarantee you that you will love the results that the lens delivers. Hi Gambee, Thank you for such a wonderful review. I am really enjoying following along. I am looking at a new camera for our next cruise through the Panama Canal. I currently have an Olympus tough camera which is my first digital camera as I really found it hard to make the change over from film. Whilst the camera I have is great for all things underwater and general shots the zoom is non existent. I have read up on the camera you have and really like what I have read but I was wondering if you can give a little bit of feedback on the zoom that comes with the camera. For someone that does want to be able to take long distance shots on vacation (once a year roughly) is the zoom enough or would you really recommend getting the other one you have? Thank you Carla :)
