Price drop happening now on balconies

Saw a large price drop on our balcony cabin for our sailing next month. Called travel agent to complain..they called Princess and they called me back and said Princess would not give me anything because it was a 'Flash Sale Price'.

 

I then called Princess directly and was able to get them to upgrade us from a standard balcony to a mini suite.

I maybe wrong but was under the impression that if a booking was thru a travel agent Princess would not talk to you.....you had to go thru the TA:confused::confused:. Good for you though for getting the upgrade;)

We got refunds to our credit card this year, well after final payment date for a Caribbean cruise. No fighting....our TA just asked after there was a price decrease.

 

As I said in my original post, if that happens to someone they're lucky. I wasn't so lucky. No refund or OBC given or anything. I maybe could have upgraded, but I had the cabin I wanted. My TA escalated to a regional manager and nothing.

We just got a $321.. drop for our C752 balcony on the 4 day Golden cruise to Santa Barbara in Oct. THANK YOU PCL.

There are open balconies showing for this cruise. :)

Hi All, We have booked a Caribbean cruise in November and We have had 2 price decreases, one as I noticed we were paying £300 more for flights with Princess and could get the same exact flights with AA. Princess reduced the price.

I was then checking the cabin prices online an noticed these had gone down in price as well!

When I challenged Princess about the cabin price and asked them why they had not notified me of the lower price they said that the contract I had with them said that they did not have to contact me for any price differences, but if I contacted them and told them of the price decrease they were obliged to reduce our price!

They reduced our total cruise price by £560!

This means that just by making 2 phone calls I have reduced my cruise price by £860!!

As I have booked another 2 cabins for friends as well, this means as a group we are saving £2580!!!!!!!!!!

We now feel we have booked an all inclusive cruise....Happy days here we come.<br

Didn't realise Princess honoured price drops in UK...especially flights. Did you book directly with Princess or via a travel agent ?
