sjb317 Posted April 27, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2013 We did the westbound TA in November, 2011 and had a great time. The crew was wonderful, the food was good, and the weather crossing was fantastic!:D The only "negative" was the weather in Toulon, we experienced what was called a "mediterranean hurricane" and had to stay in port a night which meant that we missed our port in the Azores. This did mean we had an overnight in Barcelona!:D Sherri:)

Rare NorbertsNiece Posted April 28, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Hi :D Notwithstanding a diabolical boarding experience in Port Everglades I had a wonderful first cruise to the Caribbean on Navigator. Love reading about your exploits. Dave
Grandma Dazzles Posted April 28, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Have sailed the Navigator 3 or 4 times - most recently March of this year. Have always had a good time. Found the crew to be friendly, happy and excellent - seems to be a well-run ship.

Tucker in Texas Posted April 28, 2013 #12 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Just got off the NOS eastbound TA from NOLA to Rome. We're, also, booked on the return westbound in November. She is a little frayed around the edges as will be going into dry dock in January. A stain or two on the carpets and upholstery that could use replacing does not bother me one bit. No flat screen TV-s yet but who cruises to watch TV? The crew was wonderful. MTD was really handled well, much better than on other Royal ships we have been on. No waiting, table size as requested and filled as people came. We met some great people--no crab apples. Great bartenders in the CL overflow up in the observation lounge. Ricardo did a good job in dealing with some "self-important" people there. Can't wait until November. Anxiously awaiting to see if she is returning to Europe next Spring which is to be announced next week. Tucker in Texas
Seatravelers Posted April 28, 2013 #13 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Spent 28 nights on Navigator in January. The crew and staff are some of the best in the fleet. The ship, however, needs some serious attention imho and hopefully will have been in dry dock by the time you sail:rolleyes: We will not sail her again until after that happens...Officers are all terrific. Can't wait to see her after her revitalization.

Ladysilver Posted April 28, 2013 #15 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Even though we'll be on her BEFORE the drydock, I still can't wait!! :D
GaNavy Posted May 21, 2013 #16 Share Posted May 21, 2013 Navigator is a great ship - I'm looking forward to my second TA on her this fall. Yeah, she needs a freshening, but the areas that are iffy are not the public rooms - you'll find that the cabin rugs are a bit worn, the TVs are pretty ancient, and quite a few butts have sat on the cabin sofa. Maybe you'll notice a paint chip here and there. But the public rooms are gorgeous, she's clean as a whistle, and the crew are tops. I hope you enjoy!
