Tervis glasses

I see you live in Florida. Publix carries Tervis. Enjoy your cruise.

They do carry Tervis. But we've gotten in the habit of buying them as souvenirs wherever we go. We were up in Atlanta in February and bought a coke one in the coke museum and a Georgia Tech one in the campus book store.

Stores here carry them in various styles, but you can't buy Carnival ones. I just wanted to know if I could buy them as souvenirs when we go...

We already have about 6 of them...

Shh.... don't tell anybody but you can take the top off

On my gosh this made me spit my Drink out!! So funny!!

And the lids are universal. They fit all sized glasses except the water bottles.

We're taking a B2B in three weeks and if the Platinum gifts are Tervis cups they'll be four in the trash when we leave. No room in the luggage (we're doing carry on only), plus they do seem like an adult sippy cup.

I prefer my drinks out of a martini glass. Just saying...

They make good travel mugs for coffee. I don't see them as being any more sippy cup like than most travel coffee mugs.

If you like Tervis tumblers, but don't absolutely have to have one from Carnival, the Red Frog bar, or the Blue Iguana bar, Bed, Bath and Beyond carries a huge selection, or you can go to the Tervis website. Being a Jimmy Buffet fan, I have two. One says "License to Chill" (my favorite JB album) and the other says "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere". One thing to keep in mind, the drinking straws that Tervis sells are too big for any tumblers except the 24 oz. Both of the ones I have are 16 oz., so I bought a pack of regular size straws.

for our last cruise I had tervis tumblers made with a "License to Chill" patch on one side and on the other side....my daughters name, Ship name and our sailing date. Had one made for myself too.

I went ahead and got one off eBay a couple of months ago. They weren't the platinum gift on our cruise last September and I figured by the time we cruise this year they will be changed to something else.

We love ours, use them for coffee driving to work and by the pool, keeps ice water cold and drinks don't get watered down. And if they break, you get a free replacement.

We got ours at the Liberty Casino bar on embarkment day, as soon as that bar opened. They go quickly so don't wait long if you want one. They did give us a nice discount on the cup when purchased with a cocktail. I ordered a frozen virgin banana daquari and they honored the discount on the cup, so it appears that it does not have to be an alcoholic drink.

What kind of cup do you get at the bar? Is it the same as the platinum gift with the carnival logo?

I am far from becoming platinum so I do not know what that particular tervis cup looks like. I hope I am not giving incorrect information here, so please forgive..... but the one that I purchased in the Casino bar is a tervis- black lid with silver ring and choice of colors. I got orange but there was red, blue and I believe green. It says Carnival on one side of the cup and - Fun for All.. All for Fun - on the other side. The cup has a etched style bubble pattern and even though the cup is colored, you can still see through it. There is also a non-slip do-dad on the bottom of the cup; a round black felt material so the cup will not slide if set on a wet surface.

I hope this helps. :) I don't know how much the cup is purchased alone, but I paid $6.95 when I bought it with a drink. They asked me if I wanted my drink in the cup or in a separate glass, so either way will work if bought together. FYI: the bartender did tell me that these type cups go fast. So, I'm not sure if it's the same cup you are referring to but this one must be popular as well.

Publix sells Carnival Tervis cups???...are you kidding me??

I think they meant generic ones. Bed bath and beyond also sells a tons of them. The one near me has a whole wall of different designs, they usually run $15-20 each.

We were on the Breeze 2 weeks ago and I got the Red Frog Tervis - here's a picture of it yesterday on the beach!!

We live just about 5 miles from the Tervis factory and my son used to work there and we have lots of Tervis cups - but I treasure this one and look forward to one day getting the Platinum Tervis cup!!

Are they real Tervis Tumblers from Venice, FL? Recently there have been many knock-offs that just aren't as good... I saw some look-a-likes at a store the other day for $1. Just asking.

Here's a pic of some cups. First is the Tervis one I got as a platinum gift, second is the Tervis one I bought at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and third is the plastic one I bought on a ship, at one of the bars. Hopefully this will give you some perspective re: the cups.
