New cruisers looking for any type of advice or tips

Hi everyone,

I'm taking my girlfriend and I on a cruise in October on the Carnival Elation and I'm just curious as what to expect and was wondering if anyone has any advice or tips on what to bring or things to not do. Any type of feedback would be fantastic. Thanks in advance everyone.

Some areas that will help you include:

- Carnival Section in the Cruise Lines. Learn about Carnival cruises.

- Roll Calls. Click on Carnival Roll Calls. Click on your ship. Find the thread for your sailing. There you will be talking to others sailing with you.

- Ports of call. Read about the places you will visit.

Bring whatever you would for any vacation in that climate!

Read a guidebook on your ports, so you'll know something about where you're going!

 

You can expect a great vacation....as that is what cruising is...a vacation! There is no "right or wrong" way to do it.
