Leigh ranks right up there in my top 3. At first I was frustrated because I didn't really "see" him around the ship. But by the end, I found I really like his humor. Erky, I wasn't sure about, but all day we've been talking about his laugh... Will be sad to lose him

Spoke to Leigh during our Thanksgiving cruise. He said he is scheduled to be the CD (4 months on and 2 months off) up until the Explorer goes into dry dock in January 2015. Ship is scheduled to go to China after dry dock. He will then be reassigned to another ship.

Just got off Grandeur this morning (November 26th sailing). Jeffrey Arpin was our CD. (We've only been on five prior Royal Caribbean sailings, but we really enjoyed Jeffrey the best of any of them). Daryl Dyball is indeed Activities Mananger (and what a hoot he is!). :D

Quantum OTS - Richard Spacey will be taking the ship out, with Ken Rush helping him with behind the scenes CD duties to provide a smooth take out. They will likely remain onboard until early January 2015, then Jimmy Rhodes will take over as regular CD of this ship.

 

Radiance OTS - Amy Fickert began on November 16 (for 4 months? Then who?)

 

Rhapsody OTS - Ken Jones Nov 19 through Feb 1. Graham Seymour returns from his break on Feb 1 (per Graham: Ken is a Canadian gent, funny, great stage presence)

 

Serenade OTS - Topi Ylönen November 25 (for two months?), then Anthony Richards. (handover date?)

Splendour OTS - João Pereira started Dec 8 for the South American season

 

Vision OTS - Rico du Breil for the Panama season, Nov 11 through April 26

 

Voyager OTS - Luke Aerowsmith October 24 for the repositioning and for the Australian season. Lixin Fang is expected to return for the Asian season

Hard to say. Serenade doesn't usually follow an established pattern like some of the other ships. But, if it is following the basic rotation, then Topi would be on for 2 months (till the end of January) and Anthony would be on from the end of January till the end of May. Your May 24th sailing would likely be the handover day between Anthony and the next CD (we do not know who that would be yet).

 

My guess is that youll have the next CD (to be named later)

I think your cruise will be great if you have Anthony Richards. He is a super guy who goes the extra mile, IMHO. He was on our 10/28 Vision T/A. He is a juggler and gave classes to the passengers. Also does card tricks and taught classes on it. He is a fun and patient teacher. He had morning coffee chats introducing crew from the hotel and ship to passengers at an informal round table discussions. I loved this because you really got to know the crew during the cruise on a more personal level. He and the Activities Manager also would film the compass upcoming activities the day before so you knew what was going to be happening. You could then watch it on the TV channel at your convenience. He is a man of many talents and languages. He speaks Spanish fluently.

Maybe until sometime in June. The CDs usually do 4 months on and 2 months off.

From the list above Graham is on Rhapsody on the 1 Feb 14 not Radiance. Hope this helps with your planning.

Graham is the regular CD on Rhapsody, and he follows the 4 months on, 2 months off rotation pretty closely. He will likely be on break from about June 1 until Aug 1.

 

He posts his schedule on this thread himself, so as soon as he knows where/when, the list gets updated with the info obtained directly from him.

Actually, many of them are wonderful about posting their schedule on FB or Twitter (or responding to messages asking for their schedule), and then those cruisers who follow those CD's on social media are great about relaying the info here to this thread.
