Casino cruise offer. A couple questions

Has anyone gotten anything in the mail yet, I though we were suppose to get some kind of pkg, I am sailing 2 weeks from today and have not gotten anything in the mail.

I wound up calling 2x yesterday about that "thing in the mail" we are supposed to receive. The first person at Carnival told me, they'd mail it a week before the cruise. After hanging up, it dawned on me, I'm doing a back to back on the Dream and the premier casino cruise is leg 2. I was freaked over missing getting it in the mail so I called Ocean Player's club directly and was told they now deliver the packet to your room on embarkation day.

Mizz K,

I'm sailing with you and I did call to ask about the package in the mail. They no longer send those out and it will be in your cabin. For the priority boarding they told me to just show the original offer they sent. Even without that they will have you on the manifest as a Premier cruiser for the priority boarding. See you in 2 weeks!!

I am cruising in Sept on the Splendor thru the Carnival Players Club Premier and received my package a few weeks ago. It is 2 pages....1 is the itinerary with check in instructions and the 2nd is a list of all that you will receive as a part of this package along with a coupon at the bottom to be redeemed at the casino cash cage. Mine is in the amount of $300.00.

Hope this helps :)

Does either of your boarding passes or luggage tags say priority?

I was curious about this but priority isn't listed on any of my docs.

My boarding pass does, but it because I am booked in a suite, I also purchased FTTF so my luggage tags has the logo on them.

This cruise will be PLATINUM (hellls yeah) for me. My boarding pass and luggage tags have both FTTF and PRIORITY on them.

My document with the $300.00 coupon states that I must present it to the casino cage with a photo ID. My BFF and cabin roomie has received all of the same documents as I have.

Wow....Imagine the amount of cruising you could have done if you didn't go to the casino......

To each of of their own.

$10,000 just like that. Absolutely amazing.

When someone says they "churned" a certain amount through the slots (the post I believe you're referring to) they generally don't mean that they LOST that amount, but rather the total amount played. I'd imagine that they lost at least a third of that - but it can vary widely with slots!

I can easily "churn" that much playing blackjack in just part of an evening, but the house edge is much smaller than their edge with slots - therefor my losses, on average, are much less... sometimes even winning ten grand!!

Yours was a way better offer than mine.....I got only a inside for 2 for 500 and will get 300 in cash for casino plus all the other perks but still a great deal anyway

We were already booked and paid in full for our Halloween cruise on the Magic. I was surprised to see the offer. We moved over to the Premier rate and it dropped our inside cabin to $359pp which is the cheapest I've ever paid for a 7 day cruise on a newer ship.

So we end up with a total of $220 OBC ($100 from FCC) and $250 in casino cash. I guess if we're getting the On Us card we won't be purchasing Cheers.

Looks like nobody books these cruises. Does anyone have anymore info on these cruises? Thanks. Bumping back to the top

I have booked my upcoming cruise with this offer (leaving on the 11th). I will report back when we return.

Just remember that the card is only good for drinks while actually in the casino.

The casino cruises are a blast. Our next cruise is a casino cruise and I can't wait. Last year we got two plush Carnival beach towels, One brown and one white. We also got choc covered strawberries, a plate of cookies, and there was a raffle one night. The free drink cards are great. We dont drink much but we used it a lot for soda.. Before dinner we would go to the casino to play a bit, then before we left we would get a drink and take it to the dining room with us. CCL does a nice job. We had a great time.

We just got off the Dream with the casino perks - I do not gamble but my husband does and Carnival did a great job - we each got the drink card with the letter the first day on the cruise - there were approximately 300 casino guest - you could get the free drinks in the casino or at the casino bar - we always gave the waiter a cash tip - they had a cocktail party for all of us the first night - great food - they had a drawing after the second night with several goody bags and cash - the cash drawings were each night - the last night they had a cash drawing and a drawing for a free cruise - you had to be present each night for the drawings - they also had a free slot tournament - we got a bottle of wine, nice Players club beach towels, a plate of cookies - it was very well done - we met a lot of great people in the casino and the casino bar

Can it be used at the casino bar, or must you be sitting and playing at either a machine or table?

On both RCI and Celebrity, when I've sailed under casino promos, they allow it to be used at the casino bar as well. Which is quite handy when you're heading to a show! I can't recall on NCL - but will see again in September!

I've emailed Michael at OPC about the package, I see some say they don't send anything and somebody say they got something in the mail.

Let me know what you find out MIZZ K. With Carnival it seems like you always get 2 or 3 different answers to the same question.
