Hello, We will be purchasing shares of CCL to receive the OBC. My question is if I purchase 100 shares and my wife purchases 100 shares will we both receive the OBC or is it limited to one credit per room?

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Eric

Sorry, but there is one Shareholder benefit per cabin.
Right. Even if you have the shares in two completely separate accounts. The instructions clearly state it's "per cabin."

"The benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2014 aboard the brands listed below. Certain restrictions apply. Applications to receive these benefits

should be made at least two weeks prior to cruise departure date.

This benefit is available to shareholders holding a minimum of 100 shares of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc. Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer. This benefit is not transferable and cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account. Only one onboard credit per shareholder-occupied stateroom. Reservations must be made by February 28, 2014.

Please provide by fax or by mail your name, reservation number, ship and sailing date, along with proof of ownership of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc shares (for example, photocopy of shareholder proxy card, shares certificate or a current brokerage or nominee statement with your brokerage account number blacked out) to your travel agent or to the cruise line you have selected below."

My husband and I both have 100 shares of CCL stock in our own retirement accounts. Here's why:

If the account is only in your husband's name, he MUST be one of the passengers in the cabin to get the benefit. I found that out when I wanted to take a cruise with my mom. I later bought 100 shares of my own. Now if I cruise without my husband, I can also get the benefit.

it's true that you can only get one benefit per cabin. But...if you have more than one cabin booked and put each of you in a different cabin, you will each qualify. We took our kids on a Spring Break cruise last year. I booked one room with one daughter and my husband, the other room with me and the second daughter. Since we had balcony cabins that could have the balcony wall opened, everyone was able to keep their own keys and enter the room they were assigned and then cross through the balcony to the correct room since we didn't lock those doors.

If you read the details under Carnival Corp website - shareholder benefits it will say the benifit ends at a set date but each year at the shareholder meeting the benifit is renewed for another year. The shareholder meeting is in early spring. This benefit has been offered for around 12 years I believe and it is unlikly to be withdrawn but anything is possible.

I can't imagine them ever dropping the benefit. A huge number of shares are only held because of the benefit. There would be a huge sell off if they dropped it.

I agree they are unlikely to cancel the program, but I am not sure that the share holdings of us passengers is that huge.
