Tender ports?

These are all of the Carnival Caribbean ports that are tenders.

Half Moon Cay

Little Stirup Cay

Grand Cayman

Belize

On the very first cruise we took (1995) we had to tender in Key West -- thank goodness that's not the case anymore. Since we were newbies, we had no idea that wasn't the case in every port! We were relieved to see the pier in Cozumel.:o

how about the western ports -Belize -Cosumel - Mahogany Bay??

Cozumel when a hurricane sat overtop of that island for three days... and destroyed much of the trees and foilage, and destroyed that long pier... had to tender until they got it reconstructed..

How do I know what ports are tender ports? I'm going to Grand Turk, Nassau and Ocho Rios... but I'd like to know how to find that out! Thank you =]

Seriously, when you check your Itinerary, the ports that are tendered will be shown.

As everyone has said, the port's you'll be in for this cruise aren't tendered, but next time they might be. I'd just suggest you be ready... .

I can careless tender or not. Walking off is nice, but every port we try to get off asap and come back at last minute, never enough time to explore all the museums, hiking trails, scenic spots, schools, churches, food venders etc.. a place has to offer.

If it is a tender, I enjoy the fact of another boat ride with breeze through my hair, love that feeling of coming into the docks or wharf.

The only pain is waiting for some tenders when they run small in size.

Is this from personal knowledge, or is this information available on-line somewhere? I've been having such a hard time finding a source!

Also, I don't know if Carnival goes there but on a recent California Coastal on a different line we found that Santa Barbara is a tender port.

It's on the Carnival site. Scroll down a little and it lists all of the tender ports. It's right after "Wheel chair users".
