aquilegia Posted August 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Are you sure you've got this right? It sounds very odd, why would they have it on a port day when most people would want to be off the ship?
paul929207 Posted August 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Everyone we have been to has been on a sea day
spyro1952 Posted August 16, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Only on sea days Dude, check your dates again. Been many times - never when we're in port.
gooch47 Posted August 16, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Same here. Cocktail parties (as an alternative to luncheons) might be on a port day, though, since they are held in the evening.
Pam in CA Posted August 16, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Only on sea days Dude, check your dates again. Been many times - never when we're in port. It's always been on a sea day, even on very port-intensive cruises. Cocktail parties (the decision is up to the Captain whether it's a lunch or cocktail party) are at night.
Dorset Cruiser Posted August 16, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Why oh why when I at last get an invite is it held on the day we are in Athens? And we are less than 200 days! What ship are you on? As the other respondents state the Most Travelled Lunches and are always on seadays. Woukd make no sense at all to have them on port days! Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted August 16, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Only on sea days Dude, check your dates again. LOL here. I have three 9-year old boys in the backyard playing football right now, and every other word is Dude.

cnd crsr Posted August 17, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 17, 2013 The luncheons have always been on sea days when we have been invited and I am pretty sure the cocktail parties have been too.
