Going on the Adventures of the seas from Southampton in September , can anyone please tell me as the drinks packages are so expensive do they allow you to buy them as you go along. What our thoughts were are if we buy the package when we are at sea we would get more for our money.

Thanks

If you want the drinks package (either soda or alcohol), you must buy for the entire cruise.

The RCCL drinking package runs either $45 or $55 a day per person. Unless you are drinking this much alcohol and soda, stick with paying for individual drinks, it's much more affordable.

Drinks range from around $5 for beer to $8-9 for mixed/tropical alcoholic beverages. If you plan to drink about 7 drinks per day, it's totally worth it. Me and my hobby spent about $1000 total for the both of us on a 7 day cruise. It would have been about $400 cheaper if we got the package. All depends how much you like to drink.
