Marina casino

This will be our first Oceania cruise and we are booked on the Marina, sailing October 9th. My husband usually likes to play blackjack in the casino when we cruise. Judging by the ship specifications, the casino looks like it's fairly small. Is the casino a popular venue on a typical Oceania cruise?

The ship is smaller than some of the mass market lines ;)

It will depend on the passengers & if they like to use the casino

On a b2b the first cruise we could not get near the casino ..2 nd leg it was wide open hardly anyone there

On our Marina cruise a year ago, there were several different card game tables, roulette, craps, and many slots. On sea days there were black jack and Texas hold'em tournaments, sometimes both on the same day. The R ships do not have a craps table.

On the Marina class of ship, the Casino consists of two distinct rooms, separated by a Bar and a corridor of slot machines.

Blackjack is a staple in any Casino, but except for a flutter of activity in the after dinner hours, the tables are seldom busy. 145039.jpg

Thanks everyone! It seems like it might be hit or miss, but his chances of having someone to play blackjack with are greater on sea days and after dinner. Perfect! That's when he likes to play!:)

You don't have to worry about finding people to play with. The blackjack tables stayed very busy on our cruise.

  • 2 weeks later...

The casino on our Baltic cruise was almost always empty. Didn't help we were in port almost all the time (it's a very port-intensive area) and everyone was exhausted from all day tours in Russia, etc. Kind of a bummer as I like to play black jack too, but this was not the cruise for it (and I was ALSO very exhausted getting back to the ship well after midnight). I think it really depends on the itenerary... It was a very nice small casino for a ship of that size (Marina).
