Excursions and Tenders

Hi everyone...

If I have Carnival excursions - do I still need to go stand in line early and get a tender ticket?

Thanks !

We haven't bought too many Carnival excursions, but when we have, the tickets say where to meet to get off the ship, maybe different ships and/or ports are different?

Anytime that we've done carnival excursions in a tender port we've met in a lounge at a specific time and were called to the tender based on type of excursion or time. Never had to get a tender ticket or number.

FAIR WARNING: On our last cruise, we were Platinum and we also had The Grand Cabana at HMC. We went to the "early excursion" meeting area instead of going to Guest Services, and we had to wait for the Platinums and FTTF's to board the tender. That's never happened before - "Earlys" were always escorted down and placed IN FRONT of the Platinums. I won't make that mistake again...

If your excursion is early (before 11), the excursion ticket will tell you where to meet on the ship. You will then be escorted down to the tenders as a group. If your excursion is in the afternoon, the ticket will probably say to meet somewhere on the dock.

We go down to deck 0 holding out our platinum cards and go right onto a tender. Have done this for past 10 cruises as platinum and works great.

Except for all the angry stares from non platinums. I've gone to the stairwell and had a staff member tell me to get in line winding down the hall, showed my card and she walked me to the tender with a big smile. Always wondered why she smiled like that.

We are scheduled to arrive in Grand Cayman at 7:00 am. We have a shore excursion that's not with the ship an hour later. We are not diamond or platinum and they are not offering FTTF on our cruise. Do we have any chance to make our tour and what do you recommend?
