wantocruisemore Posted September 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2013 This will be new to us since 3years since last Carnival cruise. How does it work? Also, I seem to remember last time one trick to get cash without service fee was to download to your card in casino and then cash out. Does this still work? Or is it no loner necessary with kiosk? SadieN Posted September 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Many things that are done at GS can be done at the kiosk, especially relating to your S&S account. You will incur the 3% for taking cash off your card. You can still use the casino but if you use it as an ATM, download $100 then cash it out, you might be blocked from doing it again. We learnt this the hardway when neither one of us went to the bank before a cruise.
Rudyard Posted September 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2013 I really liked the S&S kiosk. Made it very simple to check my balance and add cash to my account when needed. Sent from my LG-P769 using Forums mobile app
Elustriah Posted September 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2013 I too found the Kiosk EASY. We checked our balance every morning and kept track of our spending without having to stand in line for a print out. We could read it on screen or print it out. But each time I played a little prior to cashing out. But we won't depend on it this time for cash. Also the Kiosk does sound like a good idea. I like being able to check as I go. Georgie562 Posted September 4, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2013 The Sail & Sign (S&S) Kiosk is a self service terminal enabling guests on board to conveniently manage and access their onboard Sail & Sign accounts. The terminal is accessed by using the touch screen monitor which allows application navigation. Throughout the screens, various navigational options are available. The functions within the kiosks are: ü Check Sail & Sign balance ü View statement / Print statement ü Review or restrict Account Users Ø Set charge limit Ø Set-up guest as ‘Not Authorized’ to charge ü Open new accounts ü Apply payments (cash and credit card) ü Withdraw cash ($5 or more); any balance left on the guest’s S&S account less than $5, the guest will receive the regular Bank of America check at the end of the cruise ü Change bills into smaller bills (Kiosk will dispense $20 / $10 / $5) Ø U.S bills only Ø Bills will be converted into the next smaller denominations available; Example: $50 bill = $20 + $20 + $10 https://www.goccl.com/~/media/Files/Irman/bookccl/shipboard_knowledge/SailSignKiosk.htm

ccruisequeen Posted September 4, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Any remaining amount can also be transferred to a gift card for use on the next cruise.
Rosefloater Posted September 5, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Also, I seem to remember last time one trick to get cash without service fee was to download to your card in casino and then cash out. Does this still work? Or is it no loner necessary with kiosk? You can still do this, but you need to play a few spins on the slot machine before you pull your money. The casino computers have been upgraded to notice people just using the machines to take out money. As someone else said, you will be blocked if you don't play a few pulls. If you don't like to play, then just find a penny machine and play the minimum (either $0.09 or $0.18). This is still cheaper than the 3% charged at the tables or $5 fee at the ATM. emandjennsmom Posted September 5, 2013 #11 Share Posted September 5, 2013 The S&S kiosk was super easy to use. If you can use an ATM, you can use this. :) We used it almost daily on the Victory to keep track of spending by our children.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping. I like the slots! And normally can come away with a few pennies extra. I would always play a little prior to pulling out anyway.
